Infused vs agony resistance[edit]

This is either a subsection on Infusion or redirect to Agony Resistance. Or we can make a Infusion (game mechanic).--Relyk ~ talk > 23:01, 19 March 2013 (UTC)

Why? This game mechanic does not have any direct interaction with the upgrade components, as far as I know. And I haven't actually obtained any infused items in-game, but every one that I've seen listed on the wiki is called "some item (infused)", so "infused" is the name already being used for it everywhere else on the wiki (and, I presume, also in-game). And calling them slightly-different names strikes me as marginally less confusing than calling them exactly the same name. --Felbryn 23:35, 19 March 2013 (UTC)

Infusion slot[edit]

What happens to the item in the infusion slot when you upgrade a non-infused ascended item in the forge? 75.36.182.128 15:53, 28 April 2013 (UTC)

As far as I know, all mystic forge recipes destroy upgrade components (or, more precisely, the upgrade component inside a mystic forge ingredient has no effect on the mystic forge's output). So, you'd lose any infusion during the upgrade process. --Felbryn 17:25, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
Thanks. So this is the same mechanic as losing the skins of a backitem, annoying but consistent. 75.36.182.128 17:43, 28 April 2013 (UTC)

Soulbound[edit]

As a new item will be created, will it also be account bound instead soulbound? I can't find that anywhere. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 12:56, 8 May 2013 (UTC)

It will become "Sound bound on Equip" So this is a viable method of transferring rings to other characters on your account. Waldir B (talk)

Infused vs agony resistance[edit]

For the new infused ring recipie the only part i have figured out is Infused ring, +1 agony resistance (unsure of amount or if other upgrade levels are usable), and philosopher's stones(also unsure of amount), (i didnt have the 4th and i didnt have the mat for it, the ones i had in my bad were the crystalized mists essence, the new ascended salvage mats (both kinds) mystic coins and globs of ecto) The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.111.30.201 (talkcontribs).

Listing all infused equipment BROKEN[edit]

The list of infused equipment is generated by #ask-ing for all rings/backpieces with an Agony infusion slot. But that no longer works because Attuned equipment also has Agony infusion slots. I was thinking that someone could edit the Template:Trinket infobox to include two more parameters:
attuned = yes/no [optional]
infused = yes/no [optional]
Then create query statements like "Is attuned trinket::Y" and "Is infused trinket::Y". That way "Is infused trinket::Y" could be used instead of Has infusion slot::agony

Feedback 2016/06/06[edit]

Needs an update for the new rings from the raid. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 130.92.9.58 (talkcontribs) at 11:45, 6 June 2016‎ (UTC).

I believe I've got them all up, now. Let us know if there are any more missing, thanks! G R E E N E R 21:03, 6 June 2016 (UTC)

Direct drop[edit]

Drop randomly from completing any boss fractal at personal reward and/or difficulty level 21 or higher.
Do rings still drop? —Kvothe (talk) 23:56, 9 June 2019 (UTC)

Feedback 2019/12/22[edit]

Article says the Tempered Spinal Blades require 10 crystalline dust instead of 250 globs of ectoplasm to infuse. Found that this is not the case and that 250 globs are required. --5.67.46.2

The article is worded badly but you don't need the 250 Ecto if you color it first before infusing. For example, take Tempered Spinal Blades and make Synergetic Tempered Spinal Blades (with crystalline dust), then infuse it with more dust to make Synergetic Tempered Spinal Blades (Infused). Or use the third recipe to color and infuse at the same time (requires no dust and no ecto). --BuffsEverywhere (talk) 20:28, 22 December 2019 (UTC)
