some details, maybe as "notes", as to their persistency or tendency to despawn would be appreciated particularily in regards to special instances such as guild halls or pass-locked areas like mistlock sanctuary. like, when you spawn a banner in your guild hall, under which circumstances will it despawn? when everyone leaves the instance and a new one is created by a new player joining the hall for the first time? when a new instance is loaded upon being prompted so while in it? i was wondering the same regarding my home instance or that of others. but ive also been wondering how i could make sure to return to a specific copy of a world map i spawned a banner in, like bloodstone fen, or if leaving those always runs the risk of not being able to return to it later. i checked the page for instances but there was no detailed information on these mechanics there. --22.214.171.124 00:17, 12 January 2018 (UTC)
- For Guild Halls, I honestly don't know and can't find out at the moment, so you'd have to test that out yourself, but in general I'd assume the reason people put banners outside of home instances is because once everybody leaves the instance is closed, meaning the banners wouldn't be there when you went back in. That likely applies to any other instance except for SAB since nothing can get in there but Baubles, so moot point there. As for returning to a specific instance of a map, there's really no way to be able to return to a specific instance unless you're in a party or squad. - Doodleplex 00:45, 12 January 2018 (UTC)
I frequently see "Guild Surveying Banner"s up, but they don't seem to be mentioned anywhere in this wiki and they seem to have no effect. What am I missing?
I have observed a Guild Heroes Banner and Spirit Banner that were placed near the home borderlands waypoint (Red BL) just after the weekly reset and now nearly week later there are banners the same spots. Unless they were renewed by someone (2 different guilds) and carefully placed, they have lasted almost 165 hours.
