Garenhoff or Garrenhoff?[edit]

Garenhoff or Garrenhoff? The PoI in town says Garenhoff while all the villagers seem to be talking about Garrenhoff. Also, one of the tamed elementals made to fight the other by the kid in town is on the verge of losing control, as it phases between ally and hostile creature target. Makes one wonder how tame they actually are, or if they could go wild when agitated enough. Mediggo 13:07, 30 September 2012 (UTC)

The cutscene for one of the asura personal stories also spells it both ways. Seems they can't decide haha. I'd be inclined to go with the PoI spelling though. It's more likely that they changed it to Garenhoff later on in developement and just forgot to change/couldn't find all the other references in-game. An official answer would be nice though. Given Isgarren, I'm inclined to say Garrenhoff. Konig/talk 02:55, 9 December 2012 (UTC)
Hmm, that is a good point. How long has Isgarren occupied Wizard's Tower and how long has the town been around? Are there any references to this or if he founded the village? I can't remember anything specific atm. Razgriz3 03:15, 9 December 2012 (UTC)

Arcane Eye base[edit]

The Arcane Eye base is located inside the cliff on the west side. The Protest Too Much mission (Asura personal story) takes place inside an instanced version of the base (the instance is limited to the base interior, you can't exit to Garrenhoff proper). The base uses Asura-themed architecture and includes a small room with a window that overlooks Garrenhoff across the harbor.

Does this window exist in the game world? After completing the mission I scanned the cliff from several locations in Garrenhoff but I couldn't spot it, but I wasn't sure just where to look. --Stratagerm 23:24, 12 November 2012 (UTC)

You can see a pilar if you scale the cliff. It is the same pilar that is visible from the inside if you look to the left. The window doesn't appear, but you can infer it's location via the asuran architecture of the pilar. I'd expect asuras who built a secret base to camouflage their windows, too. --Maewen 23:09, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
