How are shatter skills affected by this trait? For instance, would the F1 skill deal 9% bonus damage with 3 illusions? Or would the first shatter deal 9% bonus, second shatter 6% bonus, and third shatter 3% bonus? (Or 6/3/0% boost?) Rebani (talk) 23:04, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

Condition Damage[edit]

Does this trait increase the damage of condition ticks like bleed, confusion, torment, etc.?

Test whether the trait effects the damage of phantasms[edit]

Someone requested a verification of the statement, that the trait does not increase the damage of phantasms.

I have tested it. It seems true.

I've tested with no equipment but a lvl 80-Greatsword without stats (Dark Harvest) at the Standard Kitty Golem. (without a weapon the clones wield swords and the sword auto attack applies vulnerability to the golem).

First test with 24 damage values in each case[edit]

I've used only two util skills, no other skill, no attack:[edit]

(1) Mirror Images

(I always waited until first attack of the two clones)

(2) Phantasmal Disenchanter

I compared two builds:[edit]

(A) only Chronomancer trait line (M-B-B) was equipped

(B) Chronomancer trait line (M-B-B) and Illusions (T-T-B) was equipped

(T-top, M-middle, B-bottom)

No other effect than Compounding Power (effect) was active, i.e. no boon, no condition.

The results are:[edit]

Damage without Compounding Power:[edit]

1014, 989, 988, 951, 999, 1014, 1021, 1048, 950, 970, 973, 1065, 1065, 1015, 1439 crit = 959, 1029, 1053, 1063, 1032, 1067, 989, 1064, 988, 1060

Sum: 24366

Avg: 1015,25

Damage with Compounding Power:[edit]

1509 crit = 1005, 1557 crit = 1038, 1007, 948, 1018, 953, 1025, 952, 1038, 1528 crit = 1019, 1002, 979, 1002, 1055, 956, 1036, 996, 1031, 1029, 1041, 972, 976, 964, 1503 crit = 1002

Sum: 24044

Avg: 1001,83

Evaluation of the results[edit]

If Compounding Power would increase the damage of phantasms, the second average should have been at least about 5%=(4% +6%)/2 higher than the first one.

The second phantasm - from Chronophantasma - had at least 3 stacks of Compounding Power active during its attack, even if the stack from it's own creation did not count.

The Compounding Power effect stack is displayed before the attack of the phantasm so I expect it to count. In that case, it should have been a 7%=(6%+8%)/2 increase of the damage in the second case.

But there is no increase at all.

2nd Test with 5 stacks[edit]

In a smaller second test I gave the golem 25 vulnerability, bc. I used the greatsword 4-skill (phantasmal berserker) together with Mirror Images to create 5 stacks of Compounding Power.

The damage without the Illusions trait line was: 1328, 1211, 1310, 1314, 1291, 1303, 1211, 1250, 1301, 1226 with an Avg of 1274,5.

The damage with the Illusions trait line was: 1275, 1275, 1325, 1224, 1317, 1271, 1332, 1275, 1293, 1229 with an Avg of 1281,6.

The difference between these two avg-values does not fit the expectation of a 10% increase either.

So it seems true, that the trait does not increase the damage output of phantasms.
