Feedback 2015/08/15[edit]

Some players are posting that the WXP boost/buff is no longer available from the Candy Corn Gobbler. I don't have one, so I can't verify. --23.241.218.90 00:22, 16 August 2015 (UTC)

The complaint that I found is about a reduction to WXP, not a removal. G R E E N E R 08:45, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
I can confirm that WXP booster was not removed and can grant up to 4 hours @ 50% Seth Moonshadow (talk) 22:59, 17 August 2015 (UTC)

Thinking this may need to be updated with the new booster types[edit]

I've chewed through 4 stacks of candy corn and currently have at least a few hours of each booster type. Gathering, critical crafting gain, and magic find have all been tied together with the new Item Booster. Same goes for the new Experience Booster-- this now replaces the individual WvW, killstreak, and the older exp boosts.

It should also be noted that the boosts you get from this item do stack with the older individual boosters, for example the old 50% MF booster can be used in conjunction with the Item Booster that gobbler gives you to bring you to a total of +100% MF (tested with my equipment window open to confirm), so if you still have those old boosts in bank storage, dig them out to stack your MF up to the clouds.

Candy Corn Gobbler now seems to be significantly more useful since the inclusion of the new booster types. For each stack of candy corn you use up, you get approximately 2-3 hours of Exp Boost, 45m-1hr of Item Boost, and 30m-1h of each of the rest, on average (sometimes more, sometimes less).

I agree it is significantly more useful, though I have been fortunate to get much more time on my boosters (over 4hrs on Exp and 2hrs+ on Item). It does stack with other boons from the game. A feature I am very happy to make use of especially when combining them with primers.
I have not noticed the WXP booster loading anymore and agree it is likely combined with the Exp Booster. Though I have not tested it out in WvW to know for sure.
It is a must have item in my opinion and I use it every day since the upgrade! Seth Moonshadow (talk) 07:21, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

If I want to stack Experience Booster (effect) for use in WvW, is it better to use the Gobbler in a WvW map or in PvE?[edit]

That is, which option gives a higher chance of getting the XP boost per use of the Gobbler? --60.53.178.222 23:37, 29 October 2018 (UTC)

Based on the PvE data and WvW data, it looks about the same. PvE has a *slightly* higher rate than WvW, but it's within rounding error, so it shouldn't matter. --Imry 01:37, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
