how to format[edit]

I am unsure as to how to document these but here: [1] are the screen shots if someone wants to go thew and figure out how to add them I think I got all of them in d-reach.-User Zesbeer sig.png Zesbeer 04:33, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

Like gw1:Tablet of Janthir I figured. Minus the boxes. Konig/talk 04:40, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

Aww, I wish I had screenshotted the ones about Cynn. Sorry for not thinking of capturing these! Will capture them next BWE. :) - Infinite - talk 09:48, 1 May 2012 (UTC)
Alphabatized them by first word/words. Thought that would make it easier to see if one posted was in the list or not, instead of having to hunt it down. 69.182.146.147 22:28, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
It looks like they changed these interactions. There are now dialogue boxes with more information for each book cart. I am not sure how the dialogue should now be recorded for each one.Surriela 22:20, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

(Reset indent) For example here is the new interaction for one cart using the npc dialogue format:

Among the books on display here is a copy of "Cures For What Ales You." This book of norn home remedies consists of a variety of ever-increasingly potent drinks.
Talk more option tango.png Examine the book.
Someone's scribbled a recipe across the last page.
Talk more option tango.png Read the recipe.
"...pinch of sand, a large, juicy vine, and one fermented fish. Combine in a pot of water, and bring to a boil. Add magic to taste..." The rest is too smudged to read.
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk end option tango.png Leave
Talk end option tango.png Leave.

(Reset indent) I would just add that dialog (just like how you gave an example) under the each book and keep the page breaks.- User Zesbeer sig.png Zesbeer 22:37, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

Finally getting around to looking at the book carts again. They appear the same as before, unchanged. Was your character a member of the Priory perhaps? Would make sense if that triggers new dialogue. Konig/talk 08:48, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
I do not have a priory character yet, so I do not think that was it. Did you find the dialogue above?Surriela 19:08, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
I ended up forgetting about this and just went to check with my newly Durmand Priory-tized asura. First book cart held no change, while the second did. It seems that some are indeed giving new dialogue based on order - wonder if Whispers/Vigil also provides new bits. Gonna have to go through DR (and Ebonhawke's book carts) to see. I'll update the page accordingly. Konig/talk 20:14, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
Went through on a Priory character, only 2 (technically 1 that was duplicated) was changed; going through on Vigil then Whispers. Considering which one it was, the race might affect some too - wouldn't put it past a norn to look deeper into a book about ales. Konig/talk 20:45, 10 December 2012 (UTC)

Existing books[edit]

While being unreadable directly from the carts, most of the books can be found in the Special Collections of the Priory.--Aylia (talk) 23:06, 26 April 2021 (UTC)
