Reason for existing[edit]

I've been away for a bit, so I may be missing stuff here, but I don't understand why this page exists. Usually ambient dialogue goes on area pages, as far as I know, we don't create pages just to document ambient dialogue unless it's historical ambient dialogue. - Doodleplex 23:26, 6 March 2020 (UTC)

It's a series of related dialogue that spans across the entire map, and it is a bit more than just dialogue, but also about the actual patrols (as well as something ArenaNet pointed to during Guild Chats, so folks may search it). Personally, I like it, because otherwise finding the dialogue for these patrols is a pain in the rumpus. The title is a bit generic though and could be turned to something more specific like "Bjora Marches Vigil patrol". I would also accept it being made a subpage of Bjora Marches (e.g., "Bjora Marches/Vigil patrol dialogue). Konig (talk) 23:41, 6 March 2020 (UTC)
Ah so it's not just regular ambient dialouge? Ah, then I like the idea of the subpage better. It's a tad random here and isn't easy to find honestly, the subpage would be much easier for people to locate methinks. - Doodleplex 00:01, 7 March 2020 (UTC)
Yes, it's like Konig said; the patrolling NPCs have occasional banter which sadly gets cut off if they enter combat (so good luck trying to kill every potential enemy in front of you before the patrols spot it and go berserk) so it doesn't feel right to just list it under the general Bjora Marches dialogue section. Some of this dialogue is apparently listed on some of the West Bjora area pages too, but from what I've seen, what dialogue triggers tends to be randomized (there may be some specific areas that trigger specific dialogues, though, but I'll need to do more sweeps with the patrol to find out if this is truly so or if I was just unlucky with my RNG). The current page location seems fine for all intents and purposes; it still retains the specific Vigil patrol name which devs mentioned on stream but is also more tightly linked to the main Bjora page so it should be easy enough to find. :) --Kossage (talk) 00:16, 7 March 2020 (UTC)
