You are resting to gain a small boost to experience when the time expires.

— In-game description

Resting in Chair.png Resting in Chair is an effect that is applied when sitting in a novelty type chair and grants Well Rested.png A Little Well Rested (+5% experience bonus) after resting for 5 minutes.

Mechanics[edit]

  • The effect lasts for 5 minutes. Leaving a chair before 5 minutes have elapsed will cancel the Resting in Chair.png Resting in Chair effect and reset the timer.
  • After resting in a chair for 5 minutes, the character receives Well Rested.png A Little Well Rested (+5% XP bonus) effect for 1 hour.
    • The duration of Well Rested.png A Little Well Rested effect is increased by 1 minute and 20 seconds every 10 seconds up to a maximum of 4 hours, as long as the character remains resting in the chair.
    • It takes a total of 35 minutes to stack the effect to the maximum 4 hours (5 minutes of initial Resting in Chair.png Resting in Chair and 30 minutes of gaining Well Rested.png A Little Well Rested).
    • This effect is granted to all players regardless of their tier of the Arborstone Revitalization mastery path or whether they own the game expansion.
  • Sitting in a chair with a character that already has Rested effect from Arborstone (which - depending on the tier of the Arborstone Revitalization mastery - provide 5% to 25% bonus to experience) instead prolongs the duration of the existing Rested effect for up to 4 hours.
  • Resting in a chair without pre-existing Arborstone Rested effect will only stay at +5% XP bonus, and will not go to higher tiers of the Rested effect, which are only available in Arborstone.
