Walkthrough[edit]

This is a simple escort event with 3 waves of enemies. However it comes in at least two variants, presumably depending on the upgrade level of Jadepillar Point base.[verification requested]

The variants differ in what happens after defeating the last wave of enemies:

  1. Nothing happens
  2. Research Intern Kim turns hostile and needs to be subdued

Dialogue[edit]

Before starting the event
Veteran Research Intern Kim: I'm carrying out a sophisticated experiment. Involving artifacts. Buried, ah, objects.
Veteran Research Intern Kim: Um, rest assured, it's important. And I require an armed escort. You can assist, yes?
Interacting with Veteran Research Intern Kim
I'm retrieving artifacts as part of an important Brotherhood research initiative. The details are...complicated. Bottom line, I need assistance. Some muscle.
Talk ready option.png I can help.
Talk end option tango.png Let me gather some more help.
Kim talks to herself
(in between enemy waves, several of the following)
Veteran Research Intern Kim: They're trying to stop me. They know how important this is. I am. Right?
Veteran Research Intern Kim: You're letting your imagination run wild. Calm yourself.
Veteran Research Intern Kim: Infinite possibilities. Trauma. Death. Job security. Head of research!
Veteran Research Intern Kim: Could I sell—?
Veteran Research Intern Kim: No...nothing is more valuable than influence. Authority.
Veteran Research Intern Kim: Perhaps the object is not an object, per se. Perhaps...an entity?
Enemies attacking (first two waves)
(one of the following)
Veteran Research Intern Kim: We're being attacked... Of course we are!'
Veteran Research Intern Kim: How dare they attack me! Don't they recognize me?
Veteran Research Intern Kim: Incoming! You know I'm a scientist... Stay back!
Veteran Research Intern Kim: Protect me! I'm too important to die!
Enemies attacking (final wave)
(one or two of the following)
Veteran Research Intern Kim: Protect me while I dig! Do what I paid you for...will pay you for. When I get promoted.
Veteran Research Intern Kim: Don't let them get close—what if it's fragile?
Veteran Research Intern Kim: My career is on the line. Keep them off me!
After excavating (1)
Veteran Research Intern Kim: This is, uh... Okay. Well. Must be, um, more than it seems.
Veteran Research Intern Kim: They would certainly not send me if it wasn't of the utmost importance.
Veteran Research Intern Kim: So, yes, I'll return this to headquarters with expedience. I will...remember your contribution when I accept my promotion.
After excavating (2)
Veteran Research Intern Kim: Pfft. This is it? You have got to be—
Veteran Research Intern Kim: Who... Where's my guard? What are you! Stay back. Stay back!
Veteran Research Intern Kim: Think you're going to feed on me? Now, when I'm so close to success? Not a chance!
After subduing Kim (2)
Veteran Research Intern Kim: Go ahead, do it. DO IT, CREATURE!
Veteran Research Intern Kim: What...what happened? You...? I'm not...?
Veteran Research Intern Kim: What IS this thing? It's vile. It's evil. It's...AMAZING! They're going to be so impressed.
Veteran Research Intern Kim: I have to go. But don't worry, I never forget the little people.
