This is my first month out here. I haven't worked out on the line like this before. The trees I fell here don't get turned into wagons and fancy furniture for human travelers. This wood keeps the fight going.

How so?

It's used mostly for smelting iron and sometimes for weapon parts. Either way, it's important. I feel alive out here. I feel like a tribune, like a war hero. This is what I was made for.

I take it you're enjoying it so far?

I am. The loggers and engineers out here know what they're doing. It runs so smoothly. Even the disasters seem to run smoothly. Unless you hear it from Ferthel, I guess. He complains about everyone except himself.
