BEHOLD! Before the dawn of history,

The five True Gods watch o'er the world they wrought.

Young races chase the new landscape,

Read on.

While one surveys the world through conscious thought.

Humanity! Bereft of magic gifts,

Uncloaked in armor, unarmed in the night,

Read on.

Though wielding only knowledge, slowly shifts

The course of history from dark to light.

The gods take pity on this helpless child,

This weak creation struggling in the wild.
