I can't imagine doing anything else. They're extremely intelligent, and they each have distinct personalities. But as tough as they are, they still need someone to care for them.

They're resilient—they'll bounce back from this. But I'll admit, I do worry about what will happen in the coming battles. All I can do is try to protect them and hope for the best.
