So what happens around here, sheriff?

This is the Lionguard headquarters, although the Vigil maintains a significant presence here as well. And then there's the portal to the Mists. Do you need more than that?

Can you talk more about the Lionguard presence here?

We're the protectors of Lion's Arch. Captain Magnus is our leader, and I'm the sheriff here. He runs the entire organization and I'm his right hand here in Lion's Arch.

What can you tell me about the Vigil here?

With the threat from Orr, Magnus brokered a deal with Almorra Soulkeeper of the Vigil to station a company of crusaders on site. They're slowly making themselves at home.

Is there any trouble between the two factions?

There's a certain amount of friendly rivalry, I suppose. It's mostly hot air and healthy competition: arm wrestling, practical jokes, and the like.

Tell me about the Mist portals.

It wasn't discovered until the waters fully receded from Lion's Arch, and even then, it took the asura colleges many years to work out that it connected to the Mists.

So this portal takes us right to the Mists?

Yes and no. To be honest, the full explanation is over my head. Go out and find one of the Mist warriors if you want to find out what the portal is and why it's important.
