Dialogue[edit]

Thank you for stopping. I need to find my son Samm, and I'm desperate. I've been waiting for the Seraph to secure this camp so that I could approach the north shore of Arca Lake.
Talk more option tango.png What happened to your son?
Samm has always been a dreamer. Ever since he was little, he's gotten wild ideas. A few weeks ago, we awoke to find him gone. He left only a note about his latest plan.
Talk more option tango.png What was it?
He didn't explain much, beyond roughly where he was headed. He did say that when he returned we'd be set for life and could afford to move to Divinity's Reach.
Talk ready option.png I've heard enough. Let's go find your son.
Talk more option tango.png Can I ask some more questions before I help?
My boy might be out there, in trouble, as we speak. Please make your questions brief.
Talk more option tango.png What of Samm's father?
Grenth only knows where that man is. I tell my kids he's serving with the Seraph. That used to be true, but I haven't known where Herbert is for a long time.
Talk ready option.png I'm convinced. Let's get started.
Talk back option tango.png I had another question.
Talk end option tango.png I've heard enough for now. I'll be taking my leave.
Talk more option tango.png Did you try going to Seraph's Landing first?
I did, but the Seraph there refused to let us leave out the north gate. They're afraid to let us take the risks we need to take. So here I am.
Talk ready option.png Let's go. I'll help you find your son.
Talk back option tango.png May I ask another question?
Talk end option tango.png I've got to be going now.
Talk end option tango.png I must get going.
Talk end option tango.png I've got my own problems right now.
Talk end option tango.png That's unfortunate, but I've got to be elsewhere.
Talk end option tango.png I've got other things I need to do.
During Help Megin Volkman search for her missing son
Please, I can't speak now. My son could be in grave danger. Can we just keep going?
Talk end option tango.png Of course.
After finding Samm
My family owes you a tremendous debt of gratitude for your help. I fear we've got nothing to give you, beyond our thanks.
Talk more option tango.png Will you be all right?
Samm was my first child, and nothing can ever replace that bond. But we're strong folk. We'll survive, as we always have. Thank you again.
Talk end option tango.png You'll be in my thoughts. I wish you the best.
Talk end option tango.png I don't need anything. You have my sympathies.

Excuse me, do you have a moment?

Trivia[edit]

  • Help Megin Volkman search for her missing son is subtly about suicide; on the surface, it looks like a mother looking for her missing son, but gradually opens itself up to disturbing underlying questions about why Samm just wandered off into danger with seemingly no weapons and no way to survive. Matthew Medina, the designer of the quest, decided to leave it ambiguous with only the subtlest of clues due to the subject matter potentially being too grim for a game with a Teen rating.[1]
