Defeat Mal-Chin! is a level 80 group event that occurs in along Yao's path through the Howling Caves. In this event, Yao must defeat Mal-Chin, a Jade Brotherhood captain.

Walkthrough[edit]
The recommended strategy is to defeat the two Elite Corruption Channelers and the Corrupted Focus, then defeat Mal-Chin. The Corrupted Focus only takes damage from seige turtles, so make sure to mount up before the battle starts, and then head straight for it. Alternatively, Mal-Chin can be defeated without destroying the focus. There's no time limit for this event, so it's usually worth it to destroy the channelers and the focus.
As the Behemoth's Gap Base is taken by Rama and Gorrik, the number of Behemoth's Gap Garrison support foes will fluctuate.

I'm Cutting You Off![edit]
Mal-Chin counts for the Howling Caves item in this achievement. In order to get the achievement, kill both of the channelers and the focus before killing the boss. The event UI should say "Eliminate the channelers and the focus to weaken Mal-Chin: 3/3". Once all 3 are destroyed, defeat Mal-Chin. If Mal-Chin is defeated with one of the 3 channelers/focus still alive, it will not count towards the achievement.

- Yao: One down! The Brotherhood needs some serious restructuring...
- Yao: Another one down! He's looking worried!
