At long last, the siege of Lion’s Arch has been broken and Scarlet’s reign of terror is at an end. Despite Scarlet’s death, all is not well: Lion’s Arch is little more than a smoldering husk, citizens are still camped near Vigil, the Durmand Priory, and Stormbluff Isle, and the cost of victory was high.

Battle for Lion's Arch: Aftermath is a release launched on March 18, 2014 that brings closure to the Living Story Season 1. Upon entering the game, players who are level 30 and above will view a short cinematic based in the city. Players will be invited to attend a gathering at The Dead End. Inside, players can join Lady Kasmeer and Marjory—as well as Rox, Braham, and Taimi—to discuss the ramifications of Scarlet’s attack as everyone takes a hard-earned rest over some drinks. This release also introduces the WvW Spring Tournament 2014 starting on March 28 and running through May 30 and also removes the ability to gain glory in Structured PvP in preparation for the new spvp rewards system.
