Many, lol. Installed Mandriva on my main system, dual boot with windows XP for gaming. Got my "work" computer set up in the basement and did a fresh Kubuntu installation on that, and my "work" laptop got a fresh install of Ubuntu. Neither of the work computers have DVD readers :(, so they needed a lighter OS than Mandriva to install. But it works out quite well actually. Venom20 04:17, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Hmmm Linux fan are we? I looked at linux, then decided I might as well stay with Windows 7 cause it came with the laptop, I knew it, and, most importantly, it ran GW without any extra software. Well the laptop is about 5 years old and the computer is about 7, so rather than upgrade parts to run a hefty OS that has too many functions anyways for what I need it for, I thought I'd just run lightweight Venom20 04:28, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Of course, that makes perfect sense. For me though, it didn't make sense to go way out of my way to install a new OS on my laptop when the one I have works perfectly fine in every way. Profession Predictions

So I want comments on my predictions. Good? Bad? Completely off? - ThatOneGuy 00:03, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Gunner is a very fuzzy and broad term, it simply means that one profession that is not the others will use some type of gun. It's commonly used as a placeholder for the profession that can use guns but not bows and placeholders are nothing you really predict with. There are many ways guns can be used, but a profession is limited to its playstyle, for example daggers are mainly a throwing weapon for Rangers. Therefore a profession based on two types of guns are even more fuzzy when you dont know how to use them, right? The concept of a guns only profession was unlikely from the beginning since it only gives you 5 the first 5 skills on your skillbar, and if you count 5 skills for both rifles abd dual guns they will only have access to 10 attack skills, and that's far away from making a profession of it. So explain yourself, specify your "Gunner", depending on the concept you should give it another name. That's my comment. ;) --AdventurerPotatoe - 00:14, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

I really don't have anything specific to say about it. This is a concept I've seen in predictions around around the wiki. All I can really say is that it most likely is a new profession, as it appears to be wielding a gun (albeit a very large one) and I can't really think of another adventurer to fit the budget. What do we have left? Ritualist and Dervish, really, cause it seems monk and paragon will be combined into the paladin-like class. Neither of those two classes seem very likely to make a comeback in GW2. Unless, of course, you consider the paladin to be a dervish (both being "holy warriors")... then you could say that that guy is actually a Paragon. O.o Not likely though. My predictions have elabolarated on the Gunner, with that name being a placeholder and subject to change. I believe you might mean it much like I depicted it, and if so I believe we both nailed the professions down near perfect. - Infinite - talk 04:30, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

The name Gunner is a placeholder, we know that there will be one profession that uses guns but not bows, there are people who thinks the profession that can wield guns but not bows is an adventurer and therefore calls the third adventurer gunner. However, there is a really big chance that the third adventurer WILL wield a gun, so in my eyes, calling it Gunner would be cheating. :P Anyways, as I said, a Gunner would only get access to 10 skills(5 when wielding a rifle and 5 skills when dual wielding pistols) and the other 3 skills, the healing skill and the elite would be empty. Usual predictions and speculations include: Alchemist, Engineer, Musketeer, Pirate, Western Themed profession and others. Yes, Gunner is merely a placeholder. I need to put more thought into what the "gunner" class will do. I may look around at other people's ideas and find something reasonable to craft into the description. Infinite, I just read your description on the gunner and that sounds almost exactly what I was thinking about, as well as your description of the paragon being spot on to what I had been thinking for it. I suppose it's true that great minds do think alike. - ThatOneGuy 19:35, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Reread it. At the end of his description Im pretty sure he mentioned torches and warhorns. He also mentions daggers, but not dual-wielding. I think that's plenty of weapons myself, considering that makes 7 weapon combinations as opposed to the elementalist's 5. - ThatOneGuy 20:49, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

But regardless of name, I strongly believe the combination of mid-line support and burst-damage knockbacks sketch this third adventurer.
