Lol thief coefficients. Either use an {{#expr: (...) round 3}} or apply some manual rounding to a sensible amount.. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 10:08, 1 March 2013 (UTC)

And lose precision? Never!--Relyk ~ talk > 10:47, 1 March 2013 (UTC)
I'm a bit suspicious of those thief coefficients, anyway - the majority of them are >1. For all other professions, >1 is the exception. I don't have time before work to do any testing on my own, but I'll definitely do some tonight. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 14:00, 1 March 2013 (UTC)
I agree, also considering the speed of the attacks. I don't get why double strike is higher than backstab. Are these single attack coefficients? Because then Hundred Blades would make sense to be .55. But if that's the case then double strike on thief is even more confusing. Not sure how to parse this information User Freshberrysmoothie Blueberry Icon.jpg Fresh Berry Smoothie 21:24, 1 March 2013 (UTC)
Back stab has 2/4 times the base damage.--Relyk ~ talk > 00:13, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
Well the chart makes it seem like it's the weakest dagger attack available to thieves User Freshberrysmoothie Blueberry Icon.jpg Fresh Berry Smoothie 02:16, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, the Thief skills could not have been calculated the same way as other classes. The other classes listed agree with the numbers I've seen from various sources. Thief is nowhere in the ballpark. Quickfix 01:19, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

its a little disheartening and confusing that well of suffering is that low, it responds strongly to changes in power attribute (such as gaining might)... or maybe thats because vurnibility is stronger than it seems? 67.233.98.18 02:37, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

Don't be too worried, utility skills are bastards that have their own damage ranges--Relyk ~ talk > 02:52, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
well the warrior utility damage skills made sense, and when i relook at well of suffering it makes sense too due to deceptive in-game wording. suffering lists its combined damage as the x5 is infront of the colon instead of after the damage amount. its still relatively strong and reminds me of a scepter/dagger combo fire/earth ele's run... although this chart shows why aside from combo field'ing (dragon tooth and churning earth.)67.233.98.18 03:34, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

Thief skills[edit]

Spreadsheet, using the Steady weapons against Target Golems while naked, calculating using the 2600 armor on Target Golem - Heavy.--Relyk ~ talk > 03:30, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

We will have to make a distinction of that because PvP and PvE backstabs do different damage per a patch a few months ago User Freshberrysmoothie Blueberry Icon.jpg Fresh Berry Smoothie 13:11, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
That's a problem that needs to be addressed on its own. Nothing we can do about it right now.--Relyk ~ talk > 14:02, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
Yeah I couldn't think of any "steady" weapon for PvE, only close approximations could be made I feel. So are we splitting the skills up on this wiki as it was on gw1 wiki? User Freshberrysmoothie Blueberry Icon.jpg Fresh Berry Smoothie 15:05, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
Probably goes without saying, but since we are using small numbers and get a rounded final damage, the coefficients have a margin of error. Quickfix 20:05, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

How are these calculated?[edit]

Is this done with real test data or are you using the tooltips to calculate the coefficients? I tested a few of these out using the tooltip method in PvP (with both steady weapons and by simply averaging normal weapon damage) and for the skills I tested (warrior sword 1) these numbers seem a bit off. Whoops, was using wrong armor value sorry. Rypofalem 20:53, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
