/stab redlink. Welcome to the Wiki, nice to see another face from the forums here!--Corsair 17:53, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Haha, thanks. :) I actually ain't fond much of editing with wiki, but decided to actually start now and do my best to contribute. ^^ --King's Quest 17:57, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Wikipedia Formating

If anyone has any hints and guides on how to use it, I will appreciate it very much. Thanks. :) --King's Quest 18:03, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

I'm still fairly new here and getting used to the formatting, what I do if I'm having trouble with something is I look at another page that has similar things to what I'm trying to do, and more or less base everything off of that. The editing guide is a real helpful tool. It contains how to link to another page, another page with alternate text, thumbnail images, and just plain images.--Corsair 18:14, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, basically doing something similiar now too. :p --King's Quest

Your Sig

Urhm, I was told to do this ages ago by somebody. But could you change the size of your signature image to 19px? I think thats the size, to avoid line breaking... Also, It might breach copyright... not that sure though :3 --User:Nautaut /(t) 11:02, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

Lol, okay, no problem, removed it for now until I find something better. --King's Quest 13:03, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
Erm, yeah. Why'd you replace your sig image with another copyrighted image? -- Arduin talk 23:15, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
The image I have now is quite fine I think. :o Edited all my sigs here. Can't stand it to look at different sigs. :p --King's Quest 23:21, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
Well, it's the silk feather from Maple Story. I'd say that's copyrighted. I don't want to sound like an ass, but somebody is probably going to put a copyright violation tag on the feather, thus getting the picture deleted. -- Arduin talk 23:40, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Well, I've just gotten it from Google. I supose it's fine, lol. :/ Thanks for the concern, though. ;) --King's Quest 23:44, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Ascalon quotation

Ehm, I don't know if we can legally use stuff from the artbook D: --Naoroji My Contributions 13:24, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

Bah, well, someone did use a few paragraphs. Delete it all then? http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ascalon :( --King's Quest 13:27, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
Let's just keep it in 'till someone more informed comes along ;). I'm not sure, so,... --Naoroji My Contributions 13:43, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
:( I don't think you can use direct quotes from copyrighted material like that, but you are allowed to paraphrase. :) --AmannelleUser Amannelle Me.jpg 13:46, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
Meh, I guess so. Even though there isn't much text... I'll keep what I've writ in MSWord for now, until (if) someone says we can at least use the story. --King's Quest 13:58, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

Or yeah, just paraphrase. I guess that's our only option for now. :p --King's Quest 14:00, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

Well, alright, I paraphrased it. Gonna try the same with other information we've gained from The Art of Guild Wars 2. --King's Quest 14:08, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

Images

Hey, in case you didn't see Naoroji's message in RC, when you upload an image for your user space, put "User King's Quest" at the beginning of the filename. Thanks. :)-- Shew 22:33, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Ah alright, will do. --King's Quest 22:34, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

(Edit conflict) Your images! xD Please upload them to 'File:User King's Quest <filename>' instead of 'File:<filename>' xD. They're your images, after all. And they're probably not going to be used in the mainspace. Also, would you be so kind to put {{User image|King's Quest}} on every file page that has an image of yours? :P --Naoroji My Contributions 22:35, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Dang, too late D: --Naoroji My Contributions 22:35, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
Nah, you mentioned the whole {{user image|username}} thing, which I forgot about. :p-- Shew 22:37, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
Hmm, yeah... sorry for not knowing that. :p I wasn't so fond of editing wiki, but I'm getting a lot of things which I need. Just to know how to epicly improve my user templates. :) --King's Quest 22:38, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
That's teamwork, Shew! /hi5 --Naoroji My Contributions 22:39, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
Also, King's Quest, it's okay, lol. We helped you, didn't we? --Naoroji My Contributions 22:39, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, okay, thanks very much. :D Gonna probably change my sig image again, and gonna upload it this way. :p --King's Quest 22:42, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Ow, how to delete the files I've already uploaded? --King's Quest 22:47, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
Flag it for deletion. --Naoroji My Contributions 22:48, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
The 'File-' in front of the name isn't necessary, btw. ^^ It doesn't have to be moved now either, but just wanted to let you know, lol. Less typework for future uploads, hehe. --Naoroji My Contributions 22:55, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
Yes, I've just noticed that. :p Thanks for the help! ^^ --King's Quest 22:58, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Ow, how to associate my image sig with my talk page or anything like that? I've tried with inserting |User_talk:King's Quest| between the lines of the file sig, but it just sends me back to the directory where the image is uploaded. --King's Quest 23:10, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Just redirect the image to [[User talk:King's Quest]]. As in, go to your image, hit edit, insert '#REDIRECT [[User talk:King's Quest]]', and you're done ;). It's how I've done it as well, with my contributions (at least, in the other sig). --Naoroji My Contributions 23:13, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
Ah, got it now. :) It works perfectly. :D --King's Quest 23:18, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
