Template fun[edit]

200+ edits to your sandbox to fix a "bugged" template, eh? Also, did the gw1w lose what the gw2w gained in an editor? G R E E N E R 07:25, 4 January 2019 (UTC)

Pssst, not sure what you're trying to fix with that template, but if you need help, feel free to describe the problem on the talk page. Perhaps someone may figure it out. G R E E N E R 07:53, 4 January 2019 (UTC)
Good morning, Greener, with my wishes of prospering to you in the new year. What I was intending to provide in Bug template fix is linked with how it rendered the * sign if it was put at the beginning of the very first line, not actually transforming it into
  • , which in fact is well-justified behavior because a new line start is the way of how the software identifies the beginning, and thus, the activation of bullet list. It was a little spot'n'fix side-improvement apart from things I was searching the means of correction for in the first place. These consist of an identical fix for the display of * placed at the beginning of the first line in problem descriptions within List of bugs, as well as the research of why = sign of {{skill fact}} template, if featured as a part of information supplied within {{bug}} application, triggers a switchover of the template's ordinary unnamed parameter 1 contents into what starts being attributed as parameter 0. This can be seen right now in the code residing within my Sandbox. And - yes, a further assistance on the subject from proficient Wiki coders like Alex would be truly appreciated, as the described shortages have a potential of turning into longly-pending issues, the solutions for which aren't likely to be discovered in due time in sources such as DPL Manual.

I've reverted the negative margins fix - negative margins have a lovely tendency to be non-functional in certain legacy browsers.
If the issue was simply the List of bugs page to address the * broken first bullets, that is now fixed - I've added a newline before every bit of included content. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 19:09, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
Thanks, Alex, your edits saved me a lot of time in terms of discovering a fix by browsing multiple manuals. I'm also curious if there's a speedy solution to address List of bugs' skill facts display issue (see Air Pocket) caused by the presence of "=" sign within {{bug}} template invocations, aside from appending the beginnings of bug descriptions in all affected articles with "1=", like it was done here. Do you think there's an applicable easy way which allows to resolve this? Dmitri Fatkin (talk) 08:04, 12 January 2019 (UTC)

Guild War 2 Links[edit]

Hiya! I've noticed you been removing the GW1 template from a few articles based on a discussion and subsequent decision made the Guild Wars 1 wiki. Just so you're aware, decisions made on the Guild Wars 1 Wiki in general do not cross over and apply to the Guild Wars 2 wiki as well: Different editors, different opinions. You're free to start that discussion if you so desire, but in the meantime I'm going to politely ask that you not remove any more links unless something is decided here as well. Thank you! - Doodleplex 14:13, 11 August 2020 (UTC)

Good evening. It concerned only about 7 pages, the idea the folks had at GW1W is that if the article's subject is way too generic and can be applied to almost any MMO, there's hardly a reason to have Wiki cross-references, as the information supplied in auxiliary article is unlikely to have much in common with particularities described at original locations. Let's leave it as other editors deem fits, it's not like the presence or the absence of such references changes much in look of the articles, although, I personally would find such templates redundant in places where terms such as "Character", "Title", "Interrupt", "Rune", "Weapon", etc. are given an explanation.
