Story Comments[edit]

Hiya Cynique!

So I've noticed a few posts about the difficulty of certain personal/living story chapters. Although there is nothing against mentioning it on the wiki, I will point out that comments on the wiki get virtually no dev coverage what-so-ever. If you believe this needs to be looked over by someone at ArenaNet, I highly recommend the official forums. -Darqam (talk) 19:03, 24 June 2016 (UTC)

Talk pages[edit]

Hi Cynique. I've noticed that a lot of your contributions to the wiki have been in the form of talk page comments. This is totally fine, but I just wanted to let you know that there's nothing wrong with just editing the article itself if you think you know how to improve it! It might be a more productive approach than simply pointing out an error and hoping another editor bothers to come along and do something about it. :) --Idris (talk) 13:54, 25 March 2018 (UTC)

That's a good point. Sometimes (e.g. the various Bloodstone Fen journal pages), I'm copying directly into the web page from the game, and I don't really want to take the time to format the actual page, lest something arrives and splatters my character. I guess that just says I should go back later and write it up properly. Um. I should *remember* to go back and write it up properly. Cynique (talk) 14:41, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
I wouldn't worry about it. Getting the content onto the article is the main thing that matters; someone else usually comes along to fix the formatting if you forget! That's the benefit of a collaborative project such as a wiki. But posting it on the talk page just makes it more likely to go unnoticed altogether, which is a shame when you went to all that trouble. --Idris (talk) 14:54, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
