story rewards[edit]
I think we can use the personal story instance names instead of level for the level 80 story rewards.--Relyk ~ talk < 19:52, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
- ANet mixed up the story, the missions which were level 80 previously (the missions revolving around cleansing Orr) are now level 70. Which means the level 80 story also splits. Asuka (talk) 19:54, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
- It's now (level 70): [...] The Battle for Fort Trinity -> Against the Corruption -> Cathedral of Silence/Romke's final voyage -> The Source of Orr -> (level 80) Temple of the Forgotten God [...] Asuka (talk) 19:56, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
champ boxes[edit]
I saw you added some champ boxes that have ID's in the 44xxx range. Those are not new, they are normal champ boxes. Unfortunately the wiki doesn't always have the ID for the lower rarity boxes, not to mention there are lots of variants with the same name. I will just say that [[Deluxe Gear Box (personal story reward 20)|this]] is an Inquest bag and [[Elaborate Ritualist Bag (personal story reward 20)|this]] is a Flame Legion bag, so you can just link to the champ bag, and add the acquisition method. The level 10 versions seem to be new, however. Tyndel (talk) 17:20, 13 September 2014 (UTC)
- These aren't new, yes, but as the versions are not listed so I did guess they were most likely unused, might be helpful to test a bit with doing low level champ killing. Additionally I'd say it would be helpful if these Pages are split anyway as the rewards from exotic and basic versions are quite different, and having all one one page just clutters that page up. Asuka (talk) 17:30, 13 September 2014 (UTC)
- Also you can see the money reward from the basic Deluxe Gear Box is quite different to the one I experienced. Asuka (talk) 17:32, 13 September 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, you can leave it like it is for now, because we have so little data available. I am working on sorting out those IDs here, and if I think I have enough data I'll end up putting this stuff into mainspace and will move these boxes to something akin to 'Elaborate Ritualist Bag (Flame Legion)'. ps: The coin difference is due to the page being very outdated, since before coin got nerfed. Tyndel (talk) 17:38, 13 September 2014 (UTC)
- Might be, I would actually say wiping most of the drop research of these boxes would be the best thing to do. Also there are for example 4 versions listed of the Deluxe Gear Box which are exotic, might be interesting if the drop research would also be split for these, might be they have different chances for stuff, who knows? story reward leveling items[edit]
Since you seem to be playing through the PS with the intent of documenting all the new rewards, would you be able to tabulate the attribute values for those with selectable prefixes? i.e. Duty-Bound Duffers (level 10) etc. These items don't list any attributes in the API due to the selectable nature, so I need players like you to help me gather the data. —Dr Ishmael 20:16, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
- Somewhere on the wiki? I don't recall seeing anything... —Dr Ishmael 20:19, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
- I noticed the page you created for this. One note: you don't need to worry about the defense values (or weapon strength, if there are any weapons), because those come through in the API. It's just the attribute numbers that don't. If you're documenting them for your own purposes, of course, then carry on. —Dr Ishmael 17:34, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
- Are those armorpieces also 6 levels above their level? Level 10 PS boots have +4 major and +3 minor stats and I would fill out the lookup if I knew the stat level of those things. Tyndel (talk) 17:44, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Dr ishmael:That's for myself, I like completeness ^^ (which is also why I added the id ranges to the reward pages)
- @Tyndel: idk, I'll just play and write them down :P have a fresh character which I play with a friend (and still 2 slots open (8/8 humans here I come :D )), which fills up lvl 20 and 30 stuff, and the others I'll fill as I come by them. Asuka (talk) 17:58, 17 September 2014 (UTC)

- The PS boots are level+4 stats, the looted weapons are level+3, and all crafted armor and weapons are level+6. So the level 10 PS boots are actually level 14 stats, which match what we have in Template:Item stat lookup/major attribute/boots for masterwork/14. (We didn't have anything in Template:Item stat lookup/minor attribute/boots at masterwork/14 because all previously extant items at that point only had one attribute.) —Dr Ishmael 18:02, 17 September 2014 (UTC)

A tip for your character creation dates[edit]
I haven't tracked for my first characters (those which weren't created on headstart day) which day have been created on, so what I did was checking the /age and substracting the number of days from that day's date (when I checked it). You can do this in Excel or any simple spreadsheet calculator/editing program. Or if you just google "how many days ago" there will be plenty of sites that can do it. Hope it helps.
