Signature[edit]

Heya. If you're going to be using an existing icon in your signature, could you do me a favor, and upload a copy of it under [[File:User Arkham316 signature.png]] - then edit your signature to use that file instead. This way if we ever need to move or rename the main icon, we don't need to edit all the talkpages you've changed too. Thanks.

Btw if you need any further help modifying your signature, there's a help page for that: Help:Signatures. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 00:16, 7 November 2019 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know. I'll just remove it. Arkham316 ~~ TALK 06:30, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
To add to this, it's fine if you want to edit signatures you've already posted on talk pages, but please leave the timestamps alone -- they're there to let other users know when you posted the comment, not the last time you made a minor maintenance edit to it. Please let us know if you have any further questions! :) —Idris User Idris signature.png 00:18, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
I made an error above, 19px is the max allowed height. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 00:26, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
Sorry. I don't usually edit/contribute to the wiki and I was playing around with changing the signature. I saw it wasn't updating on a previous talk page, so I just manually did it and assumed the wiki just inserted the appropriate timestamps based on the original message. I did not know I was deleting them out. I won't touch it again. Arkham316 ~~ TALK 06:30, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
It's okay, you're not the first person to get confused by the way timestamps work! If you need a place to experiment with editing, we have a Sandbox that you're welcome to play in, or you can use your userpage if you prefer. :) —Idris User Idris signature.png 11:23, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
