Environment weapons - you forgot them. Konig/talk 17:17, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

Can any EW be obtained in inventory? If not, they don't belong in this portal (which may not be desireable). - Infinite - talk 18:45, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
Since when did "Equipment" mean "accessible via inventory"? Are Recipes, which are on the page, inventory items? I somehow doubt it, considering that they have a window for the personal story journal rather than going the path of GW1's books. Konig/talk 19:23, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
I thought recipes were obtained in inventory and learned subsequently. - Infinite - talk 19:28, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
EDIT: Regardless, the definition of an item is that one obtains a copy of it in their inventory. - Infinite - talk 19:29, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
Not always. Konig/talk 19:36, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
Item database, not equipment database... Aqua (T|C) 20:59, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
Well now, if you're going to limit yourself to inventory items, this shall be small compared to the others. Konig/talk 21:07, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
Konig, I wasn't arguing with you. In fact, I was agreeing with you; it doesn't need to be equipable or even be in the inventory for it to constitute being an "item." Aqua (T|C) 21:30, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Sorry for misunderstanding. Though tbh, based on the description of the recipe, I don't think that's any form of object, but more akin to the personal story journal. Reason being: "but most are learned by experimenting with untested combinations of items". Though given the "through loot" there may be some form of recipe object. Which portal would someone most likely go to to find a list of Env Weaps? I'd say this one is most likely, because it is where you'd find a list of normal weapons. Maybe game mechanics portal but not so much IMO. Everything needs a home so find a place for things and fix the name of the portal up later if necessary. -- aspectacle User Aspectacle.png 21:55, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
Game mechanics I see for things like playable races, personal story, dynamic events system, skills (lists of and skill types), professions (including crafting professions), and so forth, not really any sort of interactive object.
Equipment - or, effectively, this page - I view as holding everything one can immediately interact with that isn't an NPC. So it'd be what goes into inventory, bundles (aka environmental weapons), and interactive objects (Crafting stations for instance).
Just to finish the listPvE things I view as NPCs, locations, specific events and missions, and so forth. Regarding the events and missions and how that may be seen as clashing with game mechanics: GM would list the general articles (linked), while PvE I see listing something akin to gw1:List of Prophecies missions and primary quests.
PvP would probably be the smallest in the end, but I'd include World versus World and Structured PvP as the obvious ones, and then the various formats and arenas.
Lore I said elsewhere. Konig/talk 22:42, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
To be honest, an Item database is where players go to look up their items, not their EW. EW are always temporary (afawk). Contrary to items suchs as skill tomes/book/guide (w/e), which have dedicated slots in inventory. I believe recipes were said to function exactly like that.
The reason why EW should not be included here is simple; they are not items. They are bundles and replace up to the first 5 skills on your skill bar. There is no object obtained to hover over and document as such, there is no item tied to them.
That said, where else can they go, really.. - Infinite - talk 10:58, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
Consumables are temporary too, you know. And as aspectacle said "Everything needs a home so find a place for things and fix the name of the portal up later if necessary." Truth be told, I don't see Environmental weapons in any other place that isn't so specific that it shouldn't be a portal (e.g., "Weapons" or "Bundles"). Konig/talk 15:41, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
