Regarding Cetaceans[edit]

I don't think special categorization is needed simply because the game doesn't do such. It's easier to simply stick to mechanics (and where mechanics fail, lore), and besides this game doesn't take place on Earth so maybe Tyrian dolphines are in fact fish after all, who knows. The cetacean category is rather redundant since the mechanics treat them all as fish anyways, and ultimately potentially confusing to folks who don't know such scientific terms. For that matter, do we even know that sharks are considered different race mechanically? AFAIK "Fish" in terms of mechanic is simply "aquatic animal that isn't a crustacean". To clarify what Konig is saying: on the wiki we tend to categorize NPCs according to how the game classifies them, since that can be relevant to certain potions or sigils of achievements that require a particular type of mob to take effect. In the case of cetaceans, I don't think we know for sure what sort of creature the game considers them to be since they're all non-hostile mobs that can't be interacted with anyway (afaik), but hopefully you can see that we didn't lump them in with fish out of scientific ignorance! Keeping them as "cetaceans" for now probably won't hurt, for reasons I've already outlined, but please bear this in mind next time you want to reorganise the categories. Thank you for taking the time to try and make an improvement. :) —Idris User Idris signature.png 05:11, 8 August 2018 (UTC)
