Wyvern, either used by rangers or fought against, often create a strange effect on my screen, like a kind of crystalline energy "explosion" going outwards from their center in all directions. Anyone noticed this too and wondering whether this should really look like that? --94.218.247.160 17:51, 23 October 2017 (UTC)

Fire wyverns have an ability that makes them fly away and create an expanding zone of fire from where they flew off. That's probably what you're seeing, but it should look like the ground is smoldering not a bunch of crystalline stuff --Gimmethegepgun (talk) 17:54, 23 October 2017 (UTC)

Oh I know what he's talking about. There's an occasional bug where the Wyvern pet gets Retaliation. Retaliation creates a little crystalline shield on one side. Because of how the wyverns scale, it's HUGE on them, for some reason. (Try gaining retal while using a Jackalope Tonic. Fun times) --Rain Spell (talk) 20:28, 23 October 2017 (UTC)

Purely as an observation. The in-game pronunciation of this word is, consistently, "wi-vern" (short first vowel). That seems to be a recent development (I blame D&D and people's unfamiliarity - but hey, I blame D&D for any number of things...). The more normal, older English pronunciation (e.g. Heraldic) of the fantastic beast with the same-spelled name is "Why-vun" (long first vowel - as in "Why?"
