Location of the mission[edit]

Once you get to fort trinity, your target star disappears, replaced by a green circle showing the location of the airship. This confused me for a few minutes, as I thought the green circle was simply a normal world event. I'm posting this in hopes of saving someone else wasted wondering. Dialogue changes[edit]

While playing through the mission, I've noticed that some bits of written dialogue have changed at least for Gorr. If the article is to be edited with these dialogue changes, should the previous dialogue be added under an "original dialogue before changes" header, or is there some other preferred way of handling this issue? --Kossage (talk) 22:03, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

I have a feeling that Gorr's dialogue changes if your character is/is not a member of the Order of Whispers, and possibly also on involvement with him earlier in the PS (part iii/level 30), which may mean Asura characters get different dialogue --BramStoker (talk, contribs) 23:31, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
Depends on what's causing the new dialogue. If it's a change based on your choices for the personal story (e.g., being an asura or not, being a member of the OoW or not, etc.) then we include both next to each other. However, if it's changed due to the Personal Story restoration, I would suggest we do the same that we did for gww:Don't Fear the Reapers and other cases where the dialogue got revamped - make a sub-page for it, such as [[What the Eye Beholds/dialogue]]. But again, we need to ensure what's the cause of the dialogue change. Konig 02:07, 17 May 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm interested in finding out if this change is based on player's choices for race/order/etc. or if it's one of those "stealth" edits (which may be related to the upcoming Personal Story patch unless these have been introduced earlier during LW episode patches). The changes in dialogue occur during the first written conversation with Gorr with his initial line being the same as in wiki ("My theory keeps opening up surprising lines of research [...]") but then leaving out the "Is the Order of Whispers treating you well? (if character is not a member of Order of Whispers)" bit from the player's dialogue option and replacing it with a different question and a different answer. For reference, I'll post the changed dialogue below. The character I used was an Ash Legion charr who chose Durmand Priory.

Marshal Trahearne was kind enough to send me his notes about the Eye's connection to Zhaitan. We both recognized overlap between his research and mine.
Talk more option tango.png How so?
Magic sustains the dragons, and the Eyes seem to be in areas of high thaumic concentration. If we establish a link between the two, we will have a viable avenue of attack.
Talk back option tango.png I have another question. (leads into 3 questions as detailed in the wiki)
Talk end option tango.png Sounds promising. Let's begin.

I don't recall this discussion about thaumic concentration being in the original dialogue back when I played through the story with my Order of Whispers sylvari (although it's possible I could've forgotten that detail because it's been a while since I played through the PS). The wiki doesn't list it either, however, which seems to indicate that this dialogue was added in later to replace what used to be there. Whatever the truth of the matter is, it should be interesting to see what changes different order/race/backstory combinations provide for the dialogue in this mission. --Kossage (talk) 14:32, 26 May 2015 (UTC)

(Reset indent) It seems the dialog with Professor Gorr changes depending on several factors. I talked to him with my charr from the Order of Whispers (some time ago) and my human member of the Vigil (recently). Because of that I know for sure that some of the factors stated on that dialog where wrong and changed it to what I think are more or less correct. With my charr I got the part I marked with "Order of Whispers", with my human I got the part I marked with "non-asura and not a member of Order of Whispers". I never got the part I marked with "asura characters", but that part fits very well into the asura story about Profesoor Gorr being kidnapped by the Arcane Eye and rescued by the player character. That's why I have changed the descriptions of the factors leading to the different changes. But maybe there are even more factors for the differentiations. Balwin (talk) 10:07, 5 September 2015 (UTC)
