Why separated?[edit]

Given that these are allied first and turn hostile then allied again, effectively they're just the same as Vigil Marksman, should they really be separated? I suggest a merge. Konig 03:46, 13 August 2016 (UTC)

They are not just generic Vigil Marksman, they are foes for this event, hence the split. - Doodleplex 03:59, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
But do they not share the same model, voiced lines, and abilities as generic Vigil Marksman NPCs? If the only difference is "they're enemies" that's not much of one. Konig 04:41, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
One page is for the generic NPC that spawns everywhere. One is for an event npc. I see no reason for them not to have separate pages. (edit) Also there is already a Chicken (foe) and a Vigil Crusader (foe), so it's also consistent. - Doodleplex 04:51, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
Event foes only get separate pages when they're distinctly different from standard counterparts - examples: Veteran Mordrem Wolf (event boss), Champion Toxic Hypnoss (event boss) and Veteran Risen Wraith (event boss) - they have unique mechanics to that event so they were made separate.
Chickens are usually critters without skills or much health to survive more than one hit, while the ones at this event have much more health *and* skills, functioning more in line with Risen Chicken. So a split there makes some sense - it has the same distinction as the others. Vigil Crusader you just made along with this so that's not a consistency, really. Unless these are clearly mechanically different, both Marksman and Crusader should be merged. And Chicken (foe) should be renamed to Chicken (event mob) for naming consistency (I'd say boss but unlike the others where the foe is the target of the event, the chickens are just some of many foes). Agreed with Konig. It'd warrant a split if the enemy NPC wasn't just basically a hostile version of your generic Vigil NPC. —Ventriloquist 10:22, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
