Though a previous edit indicated that the life siphoning value of 43 was a result of the Vampiric and Bloodthirst traits, testing in the Mists clearly indicates that Vampiric triggers separately and that 42 (or 63 with Bloodthirst) is the true amount of siphoning per target per pulse from this trait.
Lifesteal: Self or allies?
Do your wells only heal yourself or the allies who stand in the wells? --Inoshiro 12:08, 11 May 2012 (UTC)
- I believe they only affect yourself, and you don't have to be standing in the well, the wells just start doing an additional life siphon from all enemies inside of them each pulse (on top of what Vampiric or Vampiric_Precision might be doing) Spianw 00:25, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
Lifesteal: All Wells affected?
The skill says that wells also siphon health but does this also affect the wells that don't deal damage? That would be rather strange given Vampiriv Rituals is a Grandmaster Trait. Specifically what i would like to know: Does this heal you if enemies are on your "Well of Blood" --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 188.8.131.52 (talk).
I would assume that the Well of Blood is unaffected, as it does not "Pulse." TimRAR 20:52, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
- Yes it does, it pulses healing every second. And this trait does affect it. —Dr Ishmael 22:48, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
Heya folks, so this trait does actually scale with power, if only a extremely small amount. I did a lot of testing and you can check out my forum post describing me results here. In any case I'm going to try to figure out a good way to list the damage dealt by this trait. (Also I'll use the same style for the Vampiric trait) Habar414 (talk) 05:06, 5 September 2013 (UTC)
- Welp, this was changed since I last tested @_@ looks like it only deals 10 damage now, lame. At least the vampiric trait still scales. Habar414 (talk) 05:15, 5 September 2013 (UTC)

I added a few notes about the coefficients of this trait. Unlike most other damage sources in the game, it appears to deal a flat amount + a minor scaling coefficient, similar to how the heal is calculated. I tested in the Heart of the Mists to avoid the WvW buffs, but I couldn't nail down the exact breakpoints between different values for the healing & damage. The cut-off windows I found are accurate give or take 50 of the relevant stat. The data that I collected to form these estimates can be downloaded as an xlsx, odf, or tab-delineated txt, since it's a little big for a Discussion page.
