For skills that hit once[edit]

 Damage.png Skill-Specific Coefficient: 0.8

For skill with multiple hits[edit]

 Damage.png Damage (9x): 80 (0.9)?
 Damage.png Skill-Specific Coefficient: 0.33x9 Total: 2.97
 Damage.png Skill-Specific Coefficient (9x): 0.33 Total: 2.97
 Damage.png Skill-Specific Coefficient (9x): 0.33, Total: 2.97
 Damage.png Skill-Specific Coefficient (9x): 0.33. Total: 2.97

Community suggestions?[edit]

 Damage.png Skill-Specific Coefficient: 0.33 (9x) = 2.97

Or better in my opinion could we simplify by showing the 9x starts at 0.33 for the first hit and accumulates to 2.97 with an arrow if the attack is fully cycled?

 Damage.png Skill-Specific Coefficient (9x): 0.33 [Arrow] 2.97

Something as major as this should be discussed in a more visible location, like the CP. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 13:36, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
I agree but I would think it rude if we did it for the OP :/ User Freshberrysmoothie Blueberry Icon.jpg Fresh Berry Smoothie 17:26, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
That's why I didn't move it over there already. ;) —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 20:43, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
I've just put up a note about my idea on the CP after following your link Dr., thanks ^^ I wasnt sure where to put this initially and after seeing your name pop up in some the articles I've read here I was actually thinking of sending you a note, so it was great to see you send me a suggestion. healing traits[edit]

If you could also put that under the Notes header, that would be great. It looks weird sitting directly under the quoted description. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 14:34, 17 March 2013 (UTC)

Oh! That little question mark expands what it is when you mouse over it, sweet!Habar414 14:44, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
Yep! We did something similar on GuildWiki, although I can't remember what it was for... anyway, that's where I got the idea from. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 14:48, 17 March 2013 (UTC)

I'm opposed to using the skill infobox/effects outside of the template altogether; it break because of the <br> tag and we don't use the icons in standard text. Also, the template is made for skills, not traits; we would implement something else for traits that have effects. Same with effects from weapons and sigils, which are even more obscure.--Relyk ~ talk > 09:43, 19 March 2013 (UTC)

I think it works fine the way Habar's doing it. Having it on its own line is a lot better than writing a formula in prose. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 12:53, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
I think the idea is fine, but the look is just a bit off. Like, if it were in-line with a bullet point, that would blend the best. As-is, though, it's a bit... off? Dissonant? --JonTheMon 14:04, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
Hmm, we could modify the layout, perhaps. When I rewrote the /effects template, I used a single : to ensure linebreaks between the facts, which also indents them. Even though they aren't indented in-game, I think that style works well within skill/item descriptions here on the wiki. I'm open to alternative proposals, however - maybe modify the infobox template to put a margin around the facts instead of each one having an indent, so that /effects is more useful outside of the infobox template. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 14:26, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
It might just be better to copy it over as a new template. the current one is specifically for the infobox, whereas we're using it for notes now. Perhaps have the new template be a base and include it in the /effects template (but modified)? --JonTheMon 15:13, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
