I didn't think Southsun Cove could be beat as the worst board, but silverwastes is terrible.71.237.53.70 19:53, 20 November 2014 (UTC)

Interactive Map[edit]

IDK how the map works exactly, but I have noticed that on other map locations, when the map icons such as WPs POIs and the rest are displayed, you can actually see the terrain, not the usual pre-revealed "fog of war" that usually covers everything. For some reason, that is not the case on this map, and IDK how to fix it. 32.212.104.223 17:39, 28 November 2014 (UTC)

Unfortunately, we don’t really have much control over it. The map terrain comes from ArenaNet and they haven’t updated the servers on their end, so we will have to wait until they update them. I have removed the map for now since it doesn’t make much sense to have it for now. poke | talk 18:05, 28 November 2014 (UTC)

Rich veins[edit]

I believe that you can only harvest one rich mithril vein in the Silverwastes fully. There does seem to be a timer on it, but I don't know what the time is yet. Probably measured in hours.

You CAN harvest a second vein, but you'll only get 2 strokes with your pick that produce ore.

Before I ad a note, can anybody else confirm that I'm not hallucinating, please?

I also think there's something similar going on with regular nodes, but those simply disappear as you harvest others. Daddicus (talk)

I tested this idea today. I had two rich veins in sight of each other. I took 3 strikes on the first. Then, instead of finishing, I went to the other. I took 3 strikes, and both veins were still showing. I took another 3 strikes, and the first vein disappeared from the map. So, I'm pretty confident the new entries are correct. Daddicus (talk)

Event and progress icons[edit]

Since I'm erasing my sandbox, I'm leaving these here as most are ophans at the moment:

The Silverwastes uses a unique set of icons for the forts, supply depots and dolyaks.

Maybe we could add a table with the various icons? -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 17:42, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

Edit, converted above to tables. Since I find The Silverwastes terribly dull, I'm not actually sure if barrels are used - is it a process of upgrading the barrels t1-5, then adding a fort tier and resetting to t1 barrel and continue? -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 17:50, 30 May 2019 (UTC)
Pretty sure those barrels are for VB. Silverwastes doesn't have anything going to 5, afaik only VB night does. Konig (talk) 17:59, 30 May 2019 (UTC)
Agreed. I believe they're also used in Dragonfall for each camp up to 4; unless anet created separate icons for those. Sythe 01:40, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
