Talk:The Guild Wars

Don't actually see how this has any relation to GW2, especially for it to have its own article. Sure, maybe a side note in another article, but not a full one. *looks for deletion tag* (Xu Davella 04:39, 8 February 2011 (UTC))
- Its overview. Though it may look pointless, its historical and lore. Weird how that works. - Lucian 4:40, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
- I'm in dubio. The Arah information is obviously outdated, for GW2 history. Yet the fact that the searing stopped the last guild wars... I don't know. - Infinite - talk 12:09, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
- We really do not need this page as we can easily use an inter-wiki link if we actually need a link to The Guild Wars. - Giant Nuker 12:24, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
- I vote for deleting this page. The reason the first game was called "Guild Wars" was because the aforementioned wars took place shortly before the events of the game. Now we're moving two hundred and fifty years into the future--those wars have absolutely no effect on Guild Wars 2 that we are aware of. An inter-wiki link would be best. --Sy 18:42, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Have a note of the game's name origin on the Guild Wars 2 article with an inter-wiki link to the gw1 article for this, there? - Infinite - talk 10:19, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
- A very slow pronouncing yes from me. --Xu Davella 06:12, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
- I'm left wondering why this is here and further support for deletion. The fact that this is an exact copy of the gww article only helps shows that there's little to no relevance to GW2. Plus the fact that it ended around the time of pre-Searing in GW1 means that it is highly likely that any new information on this we learn will be able to be added to the GWW article. Interwiki linking, when the time comes, is more than perfect for this article. -- Konig/talk 04:15, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
- I support deletion, for the reasons Konig listed. - 04:39, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
- while i wholeheartedly agree with Lucian about it being historical and lore, and give a background/overview... its lore is way outdated (250 years is a LONG time) and certainly does not belong here. I support deletion. ~~ Kiomadoushi 05:22, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
