All of the needed items are already listed on their respective trophy pages, for example Desert Magics: Staff Edition lists that you need 1000 Bandit Crests. Also, don't forget to sign when you comment with ~~~~. =) - Doodleplex 17:27, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
To be fair, the ingame hint is pretty useless and we could add our own text into that table. I've now added this information, thanks. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 18:10, 18 November 2016 (UTC)

Materials needed lists - Elder Wood number not "complete"/slightly misleading[edit]

I recently started crafting my precursor and because I knew what was ahead, I spent days logging Elder Wood in an effort to prepare for the "crafting portion". After reaching 3000 Planks, I thought that was that, and I was a bit confused after training the t2 Legendary Crafting Mastery to see I can't buy the t2 collection tome. That was on me, since I forgot that I actually needed to craft the unlock staff item first - but it was a tad disheartening, to say the least, to have my bank flooded with Elder Wood and realizing I that A) it's still not enough and B) I still have a month to go before I can actually put it to use, since Glob of Elder Spirit Residue is time-gated.

Anyway, I re-calculated the actual total needed (for Elder Wood only), because the existing list ignores the fact that you also need to actually craft the tier 1 staff to unlock the collection, for which you need a whopping 35 additional Spiritwood Planks (1750 more Elder Wood Planks or 5250 Elder Wood Logs and a minimum of 35 days because Elder Spirit Residue is time-gated) to even begin what the notes section calls the "crafting portion". Now I may be arguing semantics here, but to me, crafting the unlock item needed to actually access the collection is also part of the "crafting portion", so I think it would make sense to state this number instead of 2310+850 Planks. I think it would help people know better what they're in for at a first glance.

The total amount of Elder Wood Planks needed (including the unlock item) is 5150, with an Elder Log Count of 15450, which is 61 full stacks and 200 Planks.

(joke-y P.S.: Coincidence? "Section 5150 is a section of the California Welfare and Institutions Code the which authorizes a qualified officer or clinician to involuntarily confine a person suspected to have a mental disorder that makes them a danger to themselves, a danger to others, or gravely disabled". Sounds about right, yeah, after the amount of times you need to chop down that poor Cypress Sapling :D)

I think adding the mats for the unlock item to the list without context would also be confusing, so I've just added a note pointing out that the list of mats doesn't include the unlock item. How's that? --Idris (talk) 09:33, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
That's a very elegant solution. Thanks! 178.79.84.156 15:45, 29 April 2018 (UTC) Ennowynne
