Talk:Swim-Speed Infusion +10
Hmm I thought the + sign thing was more as a cautious way against SMW bugs related to + signs within currency templates. I guess we can keep the page here and use the redirect from the non-plus title? -Chieftain Alex 23:18, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
- I thought that issue was resolved back when we got the option to add special characters in article names? In any case, yes, that's what I did with the redirect. Even if it poses a problem, we can always add the redirect as currency, and have the main article reflect the actual name. —Ventriloquist 08:38, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
Does the +10 mean +10% underwater movement speed?
- Yes. Should occur all the time when underwater, a bit like how Leader of the Pact functions in cities. -Chieftain Alex 18:07, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
- Is it confirmed that the +x means +x% movement speed? If so, it should be included in the article.
- Also, does this stack with other movement speed buffs like Swiftness? --175.141.10.31 06:33, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
- Movement speed buffs only ever stack to 33%. The only way you go over that is if you have a single source of movement speed higher than 33%, like Superspeed's 100% boost or the mushroom buff of 40%.
I did some tests with a friend, here our first conclusion :
- +0% movement speed < +10 swim speed infusion
- +25% movement speed < +10 swim speed infusion
- +33% movement speed = +10 swim speed infusion
So the next questions are : which speed for +11/+15/+20/+30 ? Seiken 10:52, 11 May 2018 (UTC)
- I'll add that data to the notes, it's noteworthy since many people are interested in that.
- Btw, if that's linear, every +1, it adds +3.3% so +15=+50%, +20=+66.6% and +30=+100% but that's just my speculation, no proofs for that yet. 79.18.63.89 13:53, 12 May 2018 (UTC)
Does the infusion's speed boost stack with normal speed boosts while underwater? So, for instance, if a +10 infusion equates to 33% speed boost, would that mean that using that + Swiftness equalled a 66% total speedboost? - Zaxares (talk) 11:01, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
- I think +10 = 10%, and not 33% increased swim-speed. I did some tests with my guardian in underwater from Crystal Oasis (from Old Amnoon towards Amnoon Harbor) and these are the results I got (it would be best if someone could verify these results). Note that none of the tests are done at surface and out of combat.
- (Forward, no infusion, no swiftness) --> 8653 u/29.52 s = 293.12 u/s (close to base speed in out of combat, see Movement Speed)
- (Forward, +10 Swim-speed Infusion, no swiftness) --> 8369 u/25.93 s = 322.75 u/s (9.78% increase from base speed)
- (Forward, no infusion, 33% swiftness) --> 8546 u/21.89 s = 390.41 u/s (32.79% increase from base speed)
- (Forward, +10 Swim-speed infusion, 33% swiftness) --> 8738 u/21.82 s = 400.46 u/s (36.21% increase from base speed)
- I'll also note that the difficulty was to swim in a straight line towards Amnoon Harbor at the same Z-axis. Loss in speed is therefore to be expected.
- My conclusion is therefore: yes, you can stack swim-speed infusions with swiftness. However, you cannot exceed the cap of 400 u/s in movement speed. I haven't tested much for surface movement speed, but I got one result being the base speed of approx. 315 u/s at surface, without using swim-speed infusion and swiftness. Can anybody verify this? - Btw, you can remove the Swim-speed Infusion using the Infusion Extraction Device. EmmaL 12:08, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
Is there a typo in the total gold amount under Notes?[edit]
Here are my calculations, please help to check if they are correct:
+30 infusion = 32x +25 infusion + 71s68c
= 32x (32x +20 infusion + 71s68c) + 71s68c
= 32x [32x (32x +15 infusion + 71s68c) + 71s68c] + 71s68c
= 32x {32x [32x (32x +10 infusion + 71s68c) + 71s68c] + 71s68c} + 71s68c
= 32x {32x [1024x +10 infusion + 22g93s76c + 71s68c] + 71s68c} + 71s68c
= 32x {32x [1024x +10 infusion + 23g65s44c] + 71s68c} + 71s68c
= 32x {32768x +10 infusion + 756g94s08c + 71s68c} + 71s68c
= 32x {32,768x +10 infusion + 757g65s76c} + 71s68c
= 1,048,576x +10 infusion + 24245g04s32c + 71s68c
= 1,048,576x +10 infusion + 24245g76s00c
So, that would be 24,245g76s00c instead of 23,488g10s24c. --175.141.10.31 06:41, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
- You're right. the cost for the first set of upgrades (+10 to +15) is gonna cost 23,488g 10s 24c. Math on that is (1048576/32)*7168 -- ((total number of +10 infusions)/(number needed per upgrade))*(cost per upgrade). Working down the list, it's ~23.5k gold for the +15s, ~734g for the +20s, ~22g for the +25s and ~71s for the +30. Total is indeed 24,245g 76s 00c --Atrophied.8725 (talk) 14:32, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
Vendor Table Feedback 2018/07/20[edit]
Noticed the swim infusion vendor table has the +11 listed twice, mistake?
- The vendor actually has two tabs to sell the same item for the same price. Once under the +10 Swim Speed Infusions tab, and once under the miscellaneous tab. -Chieftain Alex 06:50, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
Movement speed meassurements 2019/03/26[edit]
There seems to be 1% flat increase in movement speed per infusion level. This stacks additively with swiftness.
