Additional exclamations: Male human "What the!" Female charr "Flaming Lizard Lips!" and "Hwwaaoorrggh" (inarticulate snarl); Male Sylvari "That's unexpected!" --96.231.234.30 19:25, 19 June 2016 (UTC)

Player Chatter[edit]

Can anyone confirm that any player, regardless of race or gender, can occasionally say "What the!" upon encountering the Executioner event? I farm Legendary Executioner events about 10-20 times a day, mostly on sylvari characters, and not once has any of them exclaimed that phrase. For example, I've noticed that several of the other races, whether male or female, have a "Whoa" phrase of some sort, but it doesn't necessarily mean all of them say that. Can't "What the!" be in the same boat? Unless someone has actually heard a sylvari say this (I have not heard "Whoa" from a sylvari, either). Lore?[edit]

Any lore on this amazing event?--Knighthonor (talk) 02:02, 15 June 2018 (UTC)

This is part of a couple minor content patches released between Living World Season 3 releases. In summary:
  1. The White Mantle begins feeling bolder after the death of Mordremoth and begins upping their operations. The Shining Blade responds by offering bounties on White Mantle targets. (Justice of the_Blade, Part I)
  2. The White Mantle keep pushing forward and the Shining Blade offers more bounties. (Justice of the_Blade, Part II)
  3. The White Mantle finally decide to do something about the Shining Blade (and you, who are helping them). They send out Bandit Death Marks and set traps for anyone carrying one: if you take down one of their bandit champs, then a bandit executioner may jump you and get revenge.
  4. After the White Mantle's defeat, the bandit champs and executioners get cut off from their supply lines and take a significant nerf to their stats.
