No More?

In 2022 I cannot find any of the dead drops in any of the 2 maps, I don't think I did the achievement originally in 2013, the achievement appears as 0/12. As it is now, it seems I got locked out of the achivement 😞

What I did/saw:

1. Started Alliance Investigation episode, received the first "Locating the Molten Alliance's Base" in-game mail (the one that doesn't include the locations on Diessa Plateau)
2. Unwittingly completed the episode via events without even talking to Brandubh. Never recieved the second mail with the locations on Diessa Plateau, never had an Order Cryptotranslator (not sure if relevant in 2022)
3. Moved over to the next episode "Molten Furnace" and received his mail "Update on the Investigation" with the locations on Wayfarer Foothills

Checked according to this wiki, and according to Dulfy's site, and I cannot see the drops where expected on any of the 2 maps, even after seeking out Brandubh. After completing Alliance Investigation he only says "Sorry, I'm afraid I don't have time to chat at the moment.". Maybe talking to Brandubh during the episode is required to be able to see the drops? In that case maybe we should add a clearer link between this achivement and the Alliance Investigation episode.

If no one has any extra information on this I'll try to restart the chapter after I complete it, to see if I can work around this, and later document it. -- KillerRabbit 👯💬 22:29, 16 May 2022 (UTC)

Yep, confirmed that 1) Brandubh had the dialog about the dead drops only during Alliance Investigation, and 2) Even during Alliance Investigation the drops did not appear until after I talked with him. So talking to him during Alliance Investigation is required to make the achievement doable -- KillerRabbit 👯💬 03:40, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
