I recently got a Geode drop as well as Ambrite...not sure if there's more

We starting a drop research page? So far I've got 1 geode and 1 nothing. Also ^ tildes are your friends. Lysander (talk) 03:45, 2 July 2014 (UTC)
I've gotten one of each of the things listed on the page here. Adelas (talk) 04:57, 2 July 2014 (UTC)
Should we also mention that majority of the uses give us absolutely nothing? Deathpunkin (talk) 00:18, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
Dunno, it's certainly true in my experience, but without the reams of drop rate data that these things usually get, probably not. It would be a thankless, tedious task to do a usable drop rate survey on something that usually drops bugger all. — snogratUser Snograt signature.png 00:35, 3 July 2014 (UTC)

Drop Rate[edit]

Collect some rough data and decide whether to do a formal drop rate table

  • 88 Tries: 74 x Nothing, 9 x 1 Geode, 2 x 1 Lump of Ambrite, 3 x 1 Zephyrite Lockpick Separ (talk) 03:05, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
"Usually drops nothing with a rare chance of the following: ..." — snogratUser Snograt signature.png 01:15, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
  • 11+13 tries, 1+2x 1 geode, and 10+11x nothing 184.23.130.247 18:52, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
"Has a one-in-seven chance of dropping more than bugger all." — snogratUser Snograt signature.png 19:03, 5 July 2014 (UTC)

Created Drop Rate Page[edit]

Considering there have been a couple reports of getting skins and equipment out of the sand, founded or not, I've created (read: shamelessly repurposed the Dragon Coffer page) a drop research page. Azure Fang (talk) 03:25, 8 July 2014 (UTC)

I was doing the same thing at the same time. I added the existing data to your table.
Corrected the data as I didn't add anything to the conversation above apart from snarky comments. I assume the "couple reports" were on the official forums - were these "skins and equipment" anything nice, or are we talking a 1% chance of even more crap? — snogratUser Snograt signature.png 04:36, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, on the forums. Some of the new skins, like the Adventurer's Spectacles have been seen according to posts. Equipment was referring to fodder, but better fodder than nothing at all. Azure Fang (talk) 04:55, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
Dropping Orichalcum column. Separ (talk) 20:02, 11 July 2014 (UTC)
Restored it. I received one or two pieces before creating the drop page. Azure Fang (talk) 12:51, 12 July 2014 (UTC)
ADDENDUM: Removing it. With the end of the episode and 1.4K entries on the drop research, either my drops were a fluke, removed in a sub-patch, or have such a low chance they might as well not be there at all. Also removing entry from drop research. Azure Fang (talk) 06:24, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
