Talk:Mystic Forge/Material Promotion

There is a gap in the common promotions in the 141-150 range for tiers 1-4. Ether there is an astronomically large statistical fluke or the return tables for the recipes do not contain this range. This gap is not evident in any other tier or promotion group. Silveress (talk) 15:50, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

I've got several thousand T1-4 promotions recorded, and have 9 140s and 16 150s. Lack of 150 is probably just a fluke; the lack of 141-149 is somewhat intriguing. --97.90.201.217 21:51, 10 July 2016 (UTC)

Server error[edit]

I often get a 502 from this page. Why? Raljeor (talk) 06:07, 7 June 2015 (UTC)

Large numbers of calls to {{recipe list row}} doesn't make the SMW or server happy. Switching to single queries like recipe table or output recipe list would reduce the burden.--Relyk ~ talk < 08:34, 7 June 2015 (UTC)
I tried adding a "Festive crafting materials" section, but the page took too long to generate on preview, and gave a server error. Would it be a good idea to split out each category of crafting material (common, fine, ascended etc) to its own sub-page? --TerrorBite (talk) 05:09, 14 October 2015 (UTC)

Last Edit 2020[edit]

1. I could not find the source for common crafting materials line 3: "*Promotion of tier 5 yields an average return of 5-10 items." I changed it to reflect the same as refined common crafting materials. 2. Removed "Platinum Ore Recipe is exception, no data collected yet." We can assume the same rate for plat. as the other ores (its lvl 225 crafting) and not related to the talk above. Iceblue (talk) 13:31, 8 May 2020 (UTC)

Incorrect number for Incandescent Dust Upgrade[edit]

I just did it and got 23 piles of crystalline dust, instead of the 6 that the table says. 201.214.156.116 02:27, 26 January 2022 (UTC)

6 is the average; see the section intro Mystic Forge/Material Promotion#Fine crafting materials. —Kvothe (talk) 02:54, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
