Missing the duration[edit]

Missing the duration Yes4me 09:17, 21 January 2013 (UTC)

-- Look @ skill pages, duration included there. Axolotl 22:27, 23 January 2013 (UTC)

Also, with the patch of 21st January, this item now has a "not announced neither documented" "cooldown". A icon appears over skill bar telling that it cannot be used within 20 mins (yes, that's a loooong one). However, nothing is mentioned on hint about this new "cooldown". Should it be included on the page and the lack of info on hint be mentioned as anomaly/bug maybe? --Txon Atana - (talk) 02:05, 9 February 2014 (UTC). P.S.: The long "cooldown" now is really very annoying... :S
They added a cooldown to ~every consumable that spawns an ally of some sort. Fire Elemental Powder was just the most popular. Vili 点 User talk:Vili 03:12, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
Byw, I have just confirmed, it's not 20 mins, it's 30! That's too long and I can't see a reason for that. Was it being misused or something? Could we add a note about that on the article too? (I can't count how many times I cursed at it after that patch when I kept getting an error in chat until I have noted that icon on top of skill bar, I was like "WTH is going on?") --Txon Atana - (talk) 03:22, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
EDIT: I have just seen the article Fire Elemental Powder and i saw it was added in there, then I went ahead and added that to this one myself.

Editing the page[edit]

Please be thorough before removing information like a maniac. If you don't know how the merchant work, don't add or delete the information. And be gentle with the format, so that yet another page doesn't have to be a complete eyesore for users. Axolotl 22:30, 23 January 2013 (UTC)

Usability of the Item[edit]

A visitor added this to the article:

* Unusable in WvW and dungeons. Note - Is this correct, i have recently seen a ranger use 4 blues at once in wvw.

I went ahead and tested it myself and it still proves to be true. Nothing happens when double clicking that item while on WvW, right click options doesn't even have an Use option.

I'm adding this here with the purpose to inform whoever has the same doubt and also to remind that discussion page is the proper place to ask stuff instead changing the article. P.S.: I reverted the change.--Txon Atana - (talk) 14:24, 18 April 2014 (UTC)

As a prerequisite, I know this is a reply to a three year old comment, but to clarify: The visitor was likely been referring to the sylvari racial elite skill, which summons multiple mortar seed turrets, not this. --NeilUser Neil2250 sig icon5 Anti.png 08:04, 11 October 2017 (UTC)

Feedback 2017/10/04[edit]

Last line in Notes needs to be removed "The seeds that Saraid provides during her event only have the first skill. They may be interacted with to destroy them." The item actually has 3 skills. --97.102.167.46 04:55, 4 October 2017 (UTC)

Why is this unusable in dungeons?[edit]

It seems to be an exception.
Similar items (Deployable Mortar Kit, Fire Elemental Powder, Ogre Pet Whistle) have in common that they can't be used in WvW. Though Fire Elemental Powder also has an exception that it can't be used in raids.
Why aren't all these rules standardised? If they are unusable in a certain instanced content, they should be made unusable in all instanced content (dungeons, fractals, raids) too. --138.75.82.239 06:30, 28 April 2018 (UTC)

Feedback 2023/09/28[edit]

"The seeds that Saraid provides during her event only have the first skill. They may be interacted with to destroy them." - is wrong. I just bought the seed and it offers all 3 skills and you can't destroy the turret by interacting --Lorekeen (talk) 12:24, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
