Talk:Life Siphon
Green fireball[edit]
The charr uses a green fireball at the beginning of the video. As he's wielding a dagger and a focus, I guess the skill is Life Blast. Can someone confirm this? Chriskang 18:52, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
- It'd be a good guess,... But on the other hand, that's just the problem: Still a guess. --Naoroji 19:02, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
- Izzy is doing a q&a on twitter at the moment. I've asked him, but maybe if more fire off the same question we'll get a reply. ,,"Klumpeet",, 19:03, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
- Here's the confirmation. Life blast & that it is focus skill 4. ,,"Klumpeet",, 20:35, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
Trivia[edit]
Are we going to list every skill that also has a GW1 counterpart? From what I've seen the vast majority of the skills have one. It seems silly to list every single one. 66.66.172.108 07:39, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
- If there's one over there. I don't see a problem in listing that the same name exists there. Ariyen 18:09, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Channeled skill?[edit]
is this a channeled skill? | Corvus 20:01, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
- As of Pax Prime 2011 it appears to be. I watched this video of a Sylvari Necromancer using Life Siphon. A semi-transparent yellow bar appears in the center of the screen and begins to fill up as the skill is being used (fast forward to 16:30). This would be consistent with the description of Channeled Skills. Guild Wars 3 perhaps 01:21, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
Notes[edit]
Nowhere in the feb 27th patch notes does it indicate life siphon was changed to be affected by healing power. This revision should probably be changed, pending documented testing or word from the developers that such a change was implemented.--146.18.173.104 20:45, 1 March 2013 (UTC)
- or no one bothered to test till now and there was results? 5% is awkwardly trivial as far as this skill is concerned at any rate. 67.233.98.18 02:15, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
- Then they should cite test results posted to the official forums. Given that this would be divergent behavior from how life leech has worked since the beta, I'm certain lots of people there would be interested in the methodology.--146.18.173.104 18:20, 8 March 2013 (UTC)
- there's nothing to cite but the game itself, go to the pvp town area and equip 100 healing power then compare with and without healing power. there's nothing to question when it shows up in game exactly as mentioned. 67.233.98.18 19:20, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

either this is late comment now or something changed because with 102 heal pow and no bloodthirst, this skill heals 307 per pulse. also without that heal pow, it heals 298. actual combat leeching is somewhat varried in between without heal power. 50.245.236.33 03:05, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
