Thanks for making this page! It's very organized-- I'm glad the concept art was uploaded into its own category & linked.-- Shew talk 22:05, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

I have moved this page to "2009 August trailer" and not "August 2009 trailer" so it can be sorted by year first then by month; IMO, it would be better to have all the trailers from the same year sorted together than to have all trailers from August of multiple years to be sorted together. Erasculio 00:52, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

Do you think we should move [[Template:August 09 trailer]] to Template:2009 August trailer image for consistency (or preferably Template:Trailer image, which is more generalised and thus can be used for future trailer images too)? --pling User Pling sig.png 00:59, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
As long as no one opposes the "year month trailer" thing. I was going to move the template myself, but I got in doubt thanks to how I wasn't sure someone wouldn't complain. Erasculio 01:09, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
I think that's as fine a name as we're going to get. So which one of those names would we go for, for the template? --pling User Pling sig.png 01:11, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
If we follow your idea regarding the template (to leave the notice there and still manually add the "concept art" template), I think "Template: Trailer" would be better. If we follow Santax's idea and leave the trailer template to add the category, then I think it would be better to have "Template: 2009 August trailer", since then we would be able to use the template to add the images directly to the "2009 August trailer concept art" category. Both options are fine by me. Erasculio 01:18, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
What was bad about the "Gamescom" part in the name? poke | talk 07:25, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Brains asked to change it. Erasculio 14:12, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Well, the trailer was registered as "gamescom trailer" at USK by ANet. poke | talk 16:42, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
We can still organize them by date even if the article name is the official name of the trailer, as it should be. We don't have organizational names for "The Ecology of the Charr" and "The Movement of the World," so why the trailers? Can't we just include the date in the nav?-- Shew 20:18, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

Gamescom or Teaser[edit]

This may be so, but more recently it's been named "Guild Wars 2 Teaser Trailer" on the Guild Wars 2 website. The latter is more significant, more descriptive, and it will probably be referred to as that in future. -- pling User Pling sig.png 20:44, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

"Guild Wars 2 Teaser Trailer" or "Guild Wars 2 Teaser trailer"? The former is more official, the latter fits the format used on the rest of the wiki more. Erasculio 00:36, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
Or maybe "Tease trailer" or "Tease Trailer", given how this is the GW2 wiki, so any trailer here will be about GW2 anyway. Erasculio 01:29, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
I still think we should include the official name; how about every trailer that does not include the word "trailer" has an article with "trailer" at the end? All the other ones should keep their names (e.g. Guild Wars 2 Teaser Trailer).-- Shew 01:44, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
Fine by me. Erasculio 10:49, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
"Guild Wars 2 Teaser Trailer" seems more descriptive than an actual title, the "Guild Wars 2" is pretty redundant and also eww title case. --Santax (talk · contribs) 16:15, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
