How exactly are the grenades and bombs different? Can you just notnthrow the bombs? Or do we simply not know yet? 14.56.72.163 10:27, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

I believe the engineer drops bombs wich explode after some time and trows grenades wich explode on impact.--RegentUser Regent Bone Horror.jpg 10:52, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
^ Still correct. No new info regarding bombs/grenades has been released. My question is; is the targeting relative to enemies or to the impact zone for grenades? --Lord Braska, Lyssa's Disciple 14:31, 15 February 2012 (UTC)

Ground-targeted[edit]

As seen in this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCEaP4fyn9c) grenades are ground-targeted. Shall we add this to the page? And shall we add a "ground-targeted" marker to such skills in general? Like somewhere below the cooldown? I think that would come in handy. Gnarf 08:23, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

Bump. I still think it would be a good idea. But I have no technical knowledge to implement such a feature. Feedback anyone? Gnarf 08:04, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

Under Water[edit]

Can these be used underwater? That would be so sweet. --Fey Zeal Fey Zeal 19:50, 4 August 2012 (UTC)

These can be used underwater. Instead of ground-targeted they directly head towards your target. They're great. Scythe Gearsnap 18:30, 7 September 2012 (UTC)

Tooltip damage[edit]

I corrected the note on tooltip damage which was previously: "While the tooltips state otherwise, every grenade skill actually throws two grenades with the damage stated split up between them." The listed tooltip damage is per grenade, not per "volley". Tested in the mists on Target Golem - Heavy without perks or equipment; each single grenade dealt damage approximately equal to projected tooltip damage. This is further confirmed by the way in which conditions are shown in the tooltip: succesful hits from both Shrapnel Grenades inflict not one but two stacks of bleeding and Frost Grenades inflict a 4 second Chill. The previous author was probably hitting a lower armor target, stacking vulnerabilty and/or had perks to further increase grenade damage such as Explosive Powder (which is also not projected in the tooltip). --Kciroj 13:08, 11 November 2012 (UTC)

Weird Stats[edit]

Maybe someone can figure this out because I sure can't. Try being an engineer and have a rifle with 179 on power equipped. Then use the grenade kit, you lose about 236 (for me 3337 - 3101) in attack, yet power stat does NOT change at all. Okay, weird so far but it gets weirder. Now unequip grenade. Then unequip rifle. Power and attack drop to 1953. Okay. Now equip grenade. Attack goes up to 2922...which is exactly 3101 - 179 which means that the rifle's stats DOES in fact add to nade power, even when it is put away but why the discrepancy in 236 vs 179? Is it maybe because the power stat is included but the weapon damage is not included? Any thoughts? GuardianofElona (talk) 19:24, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
