Talk:Endless Embiggening Tonic

Change Note: The Tonic can now be used underwater. This has been Undocumented, but tested, dunno if it's only a bug, but the Text mentionning it being unusable underwater is gone from the Tonic and Novelty Pannel.

So i went ahead and tested this because it would have been awesome if it would be possible now but it seems that the effect is removed uppon entering the water and it also can't be applied while underwater. The flavour text mentioning that it can't be used in water also seems to still be there, both in game and in the API. Could it be you maybe mistook it for the Endless Miniature Tonic? I am sure it was the Embigenning Tonic. We tested on two different people, and both were able. WyvrnRipsnarl (talk) 07:23, 14 December 2019 (UTC-4)
Hmmmm... Apparently the text is actually still there for the Tonic Form, although it is absent from the Novelty Pannel. Might not be intended though, but I know so far that it does work underwater, currently if used via the Novelty System. WyvrnRipsnarl (talk) 07:31, 14 December 2019 (UTC-4)
Upon further testing, it seems entering the water while under the effect will cancel it. But you can re-use the tonic while in the water to regain the effect, leaving the water will not cancel it again, it only cancels it upon entering water. Could be unintended then. That it is possible when done from the novelty system but not when done from the inventory surely sounds like it is a bug since it's inconsistent. Which one of the two behaviours is the intended one however is difficult to tell. I had tested it with the inventory version so i see why it didn't work for me then. You're right about the novelty version being different though; good find. I guess since it is only different on the novelty version and not on the item a {{bug}} note is probably the best we can do untill there is clarification on which version is the intended one or if it is maybe actually intended to be split like this (which, although it is unlikely, is possible still) then.
