disagree with deletion[edit]

why, because I know from other MMO wikis, the community also documents unfinished projects, for people interested in learning about the production of the project. This page doesn't effect other info pages in anyway, since it's clear that these were professions that were not in final production.--Knighthonor 03:41, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

I remember you. You were always creating unnecessary pages, just like this one. I vote to delete. Arshay Duskbrow 03:45, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

Hey mods, if you feel that this page warrants deletion, I am curious how will old information be documented for new comers to check out? Example. Let's say a massive dungeon is in the game for a year, but was then removed after a year. 3 years later, should new comers to the game be able to read about old contents no longer in the game, or not? This like that have no effect on the game, but I believe it to be interesting info that doesn't hurt anybody.--Knighthonor 04:07, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

I don't care if the info is documented somewhere. I don't think it needs its own page. Where it is documented it should be archived anyhow as non implemented aspects of the game. --Moto Saxon 04:23, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
Although I typically disagree with the necessity of Knighthonor pages, I have to agree with him on at least part of this. I (and many other members both on this wiki and last) have found the documentation of pre-GW1 release to be entirely inadequate. I'd hate to see a majority of the post-release players not being able to find something as simple as this on the wiki. Now, whether or not this needs its own page, is a separate question. A two-line note on Professions might be adequate. ---User Eive Windgrace Harbinger of the Deceiver.png 04:58, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
Half of these are already noted in Profession#Trivia (and have been for ages). - Tanetris 05:11, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
I'd like to remind everyone that it doesn't matter who created an article, it should be judged on its own merit. Personally, however, I don't believe there's nearly enough information to warrant it. Felix Omni Signature.png 06:54, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
I'm going /support for Felix here. --TalkpageEl_Nazgir 08:46, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
I support deletion: the primary goal of this wiki is to document the game as it is, not as it may have been if the team took different turns here and there. Cut projects — in this case professions — do not merit anything more extravagant than a trivia bullet and a reference to back the statement. - Infinite - talk 11:21, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
I will second the deletion as well (sixth'd?). Currently I don't feel that there is sufficient information for a page like this. However, that being said. If the page were to be created in a user's space and filled with valid information, I may consider making it into a subpage of Professions, but until that day arrives I will agree with the deletion of the page in its current state. I agree with the deletion. Just not enough materials to fill in this page. Maybe we can start a page called 'Cancelled Contents' to document these changes. User:Glastium Glastium | talk 18:15, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
There's a difference between documenting ideas that were once implemented but then scrapped and documenting ideas that never made it into the game, which would amount to thousands of notions. This article was created with the same amount of merit (none) that a statement like this would have: "We thought about having squirrels in the game but decided against it."-- Shew 18:22, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
Shew summed up my main reason for deletion. Aqua (T|C) 02:30, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
I agree with the deletion as well. If there was more information than "we thought of having a profession called X" then maybe have a page for it. As is having them listed as trivia in profession is best. Mattsta 04:28, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
