The map column[edit]

So now that we've been graced with "patch notes" for the chair update, and there turns out to be hundreds of these things all over Tyria, I'm wondering if maps are really necessary? I initially added them because I assumed there would only be one or two "easy" chairs that we could guide our readers towards, but it seems that there are so many that it's becoming potentially confusing to show only a single map when the walkthrough is describing five different locations -- and I fear that if we allow multiple maps per chair, the article will get bloated. --Idris (talk) 02:39, 28 March 2018 (UTC)

We could just add a note saying that the chairs in the article will be chairs that are relatively easy to find? I don't think we need to exhaustively catalog these locations.--Rain Spell (talk) 03:21, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
Yeah, the article might benefit from some pruning. I think some people have been having too much fun searching for chairs today! --Idris (talk) 03:27, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
Considering how similar some of the chairs look at default camera settings, (I'm looking at - and was looking FOR - you, Estate Fancy and Krytan Simple) I'd say holding the evolving standard of "landmark'd minimap" shots is fine. What I'm more worried about is inevitable Location column bloat. -Azure Fang (talk) 13:27, 28 March 2018 (UTC)

Arcane Council Seat[edit]

I can't interact with the ones in the Council instance. Also with no legit way into the Usability Station there must be some other way to get the #3 chairs. -- Kazerniel (talk) 22:34, 28 March 2018 (UTC)

It's currently bugged, which the walkthrough mentions. (#42.) Patch hopefully coming soon; in the meantime, keep trying at Usability Station! I've seen a lot of players offering portals -- in fact, if you're on EU, I can help you out right now. --Idris (talk) 22:40, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
This has now been corrected by this patch. I'd purposefully held off sitting in any chairs so could verify the comment about if would count towards chair #3 and #42, and for me, it did, when entered the Arcane Council and used the sittability option (clearly my web browser spell checker hasn't received the memo from ArenaNet that "sittability" is now a valid word!), got credited with both #3 and #42. This probably not as Anet intended, so might get patched out later, but for now have updated the article to show how things are right now. Happy sitting everyone! --Wolfie User Wolfie sig.jpg (talk|contribs) 00:37, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
Thanks a lot for verifying! I ruined my chance to check for myself, so I'm grateful that someone had more foresight than I did. :p --Idris (talk) 00:41, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for the help yesterday, Idris :) Btw that was then my source of confusion that I thought one chair would only count as one entry in the collection, and if all known Arcane Council seats were either inaccessible by normal means or count as #42 then what would be the legit way to get #3. But if the actual Council seats count as both, that solves the issue :) --Kazerniel (talk) 07:04, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
Glad to be of help, Kazerniel. :) Btw, I need a hand with another throne verification now -- Knut Whitebear's throne looks very similar to #37. Does sitting on Knut's throne count towards #37? --Idris (talk) 14:44, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
Got a friend to help me test this -- Knut's chair only counts towards #42. --Idris (talk) 19:24, 30 March 2018 (UTC)

Pirate's Stately Chair[edit]

The chairs (not the bar stools) near Folamh in the Labyrinthine Cliffs counts as 26. Pirate's Stately Chair, and has the same skin. --Skekzyz (talk) 22:29, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
