Demoting to dust[edit]
I just discovered a new forge recipe to convert the Bloodstone Bricks into dust. It takes one of each to make 250 dust. 1 Essence of Luck(Fine) + 1 Mystic Coin + 1 Pile of Bloodstone Dust + 1 Bloodstone Brick=250 Piles of Bloodstone. Not sure when they put this recipe in but discovered it 8/2/14. --Mistress Elemental (talk) 11:35, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
- I just did this recipe a few minutes ago and only got 100 dust. Did this get changed or did I mess up somewhere? --Sinharath 13:41, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
- The same for me, only 100 dust, not 250. Fixed it on the dust page, but I don't know how to reflect the change on this page if anyone wants to change it.
- Click on the "refresh" tab. —Dr Ishmael 14:00, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
- They must have changed it since I discovered it because it was doing 250.--Mistress Elemental (talk) 20:07, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
Can't create bricks[edit]
Kinda noob in forging, but I can not create Bloodstone Bricks, already level 450 WeaponSmith, have all the ingredients... :(
- Are you trying to discover the recipe? It's not discoverable - it's automatically added to your recipe list. —Dr Ishmael 19:51, 1 November 2014 (UTC)
- Well that's the thing, I don't have it!
- Never mind my last comment! ^_^ I was trying to make it using Mystic Forge, though it is available via Smithing station... °_°

I'm having trouble making them too. I have 425 artificer and it is not on the list.
- Well, as the wiki says, you need 450 artificer. Hekela (talk) 20:14, 16 January 2016 (UTC)
- If its 450 artificer why does the discipline say 400?
- In the infobox, the discipline = 400 is the artificer level you must be in order to USE Bloodstone Bricks in OTHER recipes. But in order to CRAFT Bloodstone brick, you have to be artificer 400 to use Piles of Bloodstone Dust, 450 to use Obsidian Shards, and 100 to use Thermocatalytic Reagents..... hence how you need 450 artificer to make Bloodstone Bricks in artificer. (As is expressed in the recipe info box by Req. Rating.) Hekela (talk) 21:13, 16 January 2016 (UTC)
- Either you mistyped or you're not making sense. I am also Artificer 425. Tooltip on Bloodstone Dust says Artificer 400. There are NO automatic recipes for it, master craftsmen do not sell recipes for it, and piles of Bloodstone Dust do not appear in the discovery window. Admit it, Anet goofed, tooltip is wrong and it still hasn't been corrected. 68.33.89.81 13:54, 5 November 2016 (UTC)
- The tooltip just shows the lowest-level recipe that requires the ingredient. On Bloodstone Dust, it says 400 because the Endless Toy Ventari Tonic (and friends) only need Artificer 400 to create. If you're looking at the recipe for a Bloodstone Brick, then it says in the recipe infobox says "Req. rating: 450", which means that you need to be an Artificer 450 to create it.
- On the Bloodstone Brick page, it says "Artificer 400" because you need Artificer 400 to create the Infinite Toxic Krait Tonic --Imry (talk) 20:34, 5 November 2016 (UTC)

Okay, maybe I'm missing it, but it says the CHEF can create bricks at level 425? Or is that the level at which they can USE them? This whole thing is not very clear. Because I can't buy thermocatalytic reagents from the chef NPC even though I'm Chef 430. I'd like to pare down all these stupid useless bloodstone dust piles sucking up space in my inventory (because somehow they couldn't just make them "bags of dust" or something and make them 1/10th the "size" needed in various recipes, so that they would not fill up ridiculously in your bank storage. SMH. No, instead, you have to have 1000 of them in your inventory because you're going to NEED 100s of them just for one recipe... And you need to be level 450 just to do anything with them. Ridiculous nuisance for no reason. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Obloodyhell (talk).
- Chef, Jeweler, and Scribe NPCs don't have thermocatalytic reagents. Try one of the other NPCs. --BuffsEverywhere (talk) 10:17, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
- Got that part on my own (just pointing out that it is ridiculous, when they have a basic recipe [i.e., one you don't need to "find"] which uses them]). Still can't create them even though the info here says that they can do so @425. It the wiki in error? Do they need 450 like the others? --Obloodyhell (talk) 06:17, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
I'm gonna add Huntsman to the List of stuff that can't create the bricks. Huntsman Station pic Is there another prerequisite to craft this? Yok (talk) 07:36, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
