Not to mention that they can use their unique moves as often as they want and we can only use it once! Like W...T...F...!? User Tytan Crow Crow.jpg Titan Crow 23:41, 10 July 2013 (UTC)

I've had some success with counting the number of turns in between his Waters and saving my Belches for those spots. The jerk almost never Bluffs since his HP is so high, so it's not much good to use Belches anywhere else except for Waters. --KythiusZeregar (talk) 04:32, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

Just noticed that, after a while, damage taken from drinking while fighting him increases to 20%, while healing from water gets reduced to 10%. Didn't see that happening against the other masters. Azure Fang (talk) 02:21, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

The only advice I can give you is try to save the Belch only for when his buff is up so that you use it instead of drinking. Use drinking only to recharge the Belch a bit. Other then that use Bluff (if no buff) and use heal whenever possible (unless full health ofc). If your health drops to 2-3k use Boast. Unfortunately it's still a lottery, so all you can do once you figure out the strategy is hope he goes easy on you. It took me 4 hours or so, over 2 days to get this done. Tips[edit]

The two tips above both worked for me and helped me win. It's partly a matter of luck. His healing skill recharges in three turns like yours does, and he usually uses it in three or four turns. If you time your interrupt properly you can stop his heal multiple times, I stopped his heal three times in a row and that got me the win after about 10 tries. Also, use bluff whenever his special skill expires so that you get access to water, and save your heal and belch for when his buff is up, that way you don't have to drink as often. Again it's a matter of luck. --XacTactX (talk) 22:02, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

Use a Rejuvenation Booster. Unindal (talk) 02:45, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
Oh my god I love you. That worked. The rejuvenation booster. :)
I hope they never nerf that tactic. Belcher's Bluff is fundamentally about cheating anyway (the 'Bluff' part) and why do we hold on to Rejuv boosters for any reason but impossibly situations like this? --Terzaerian (talk) 07:16, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
I had tried to do something similar with Mango Pies, but those didn't work. Fortunately, the Rej Booster still worked out. SarielV 20 x 20px 16:46, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
Revujevantion Booster no longer works. Buff is removed at start of match and Booster cannot be used during match (Jan 29,2013). The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.133.58.71 (talk) at 18:56, 29 January 2014 (UTC).

Easy Win[edit]

I take no credit for this 'tactic'. Someone posted this on the GW2 subreddit, and I can't remember his name. Get a Box o' Fun, plant it beside Irongut, and set it to Petrify. Start the match, and petrify yourself before your first move. Due to out-of-combat mechanics, you'll start regenerating health while Irongut drinks himself to death. It'll take about 10-15 minutes, but it's a free win. 99.238.138.162 20:58, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
