Do not save the DanDan for last, it will bug the achievement and you will not be able to feed it to him.

I don't think the bug is entirely confined to the Dandan. I just fed the turtle a Goliath Grouper and didn't get progression on the achievement, and was at 8/11 previously. The fish I have remaining to hand in are the Goliath Gouper, Muskellunge and Halibut. Really confusingly, the Dandan seemed to progress the achievement. I had two Goliath Goupers in my inventory and now I only have one left, but I am really reluctant to try again. My advice for everyone is to just not hand this in until a fix is confirmed, perhaps we should note this on the top page, especially if Support confirmed the Dandan is not working (Source is from the Official Forums) Ehntu (talk) 13:17, 20 March 2022 (UTC)

The API is not broken; the objectives in this wiki article are simply in the wrong order. 8 on the table should be Swordfish from New Kaineng City, for example.

If anyone hasn't started this achievement yet, you can help by giving the turtle ONE fish, put your API into the wiki page and see which # is marked complete, then tell us here which # greys out and which fish you gave the turtle. If you've given in most fish before getting stuck it could also help to list all the # you cant give, along with the fishes (not what it says in the table, but the ones you KNOW you haven't given).   • I am pretty sure Halibut (#5) is misplaced with Miskellunge (#9). I already gave Halibut to turtle and I still miss the latter but API on wiki shows the opposite. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 188.146.109.212 (talk).

      • Miskellunge is *not* number 5 for me. It was number 6. I have handed in 5 fish, and I have not yet caught a Miskellunge. --Hesione (talk) 10:56, 26 March 2022 (UTC)
  • Just gave the turtle Halibut and Dandan as the first fishes ever, and it ticked off #1 and #6 for me. Since someone above me said that Dandan was #4 for them, it does seem like the API is broken since Dandan was #1 or #6 for me. 81.170.252.63 23:30, 24 March 2022 (UTC)

  • I only turned in the 4 fish from the EoD maps so far and #7 to #10 are marked, if 7, 8 and 9 are already confirmed to be in the correct order then 10 should be Sailfish (I would have guessed that Sailfish would be 7 and Chambered Nautilus at 10 because of map order).   • Fish 4 and 6 still seem to be shuffled for me, Did turn in a Goliath Gulper and no Dandan yet. And currently seeing Goliath Gulper still blue and Dandan grayed Wolfstrike 16:05, 25 March 2022 (UTC)
    • There is currently a bug where Goliath Grouper counts as Dandan for the achievement, which should be fixed in the Tuesday patch this week. --BenLubar (talk) 14:32, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
  • not sure how useful this is, but i delivered my fish in this order: 1-chambered nautilus 2-dark sleeper 3-swordfish 4-sailfish 5-halibut 6-slaughterfish 7-goliath grouper 8-muskellunge 9-unholy mackerel. now trying to deliver dandan as 10th fish, but turtle won't take it (bc bugged). when i enter my api key, the table says #4 goliath grouper and #11 dunkleosteus are missing.

I have been: catch the fish I need, give it to the turtle, catch the next fish I need, give it to the turtle. That is, I only have one fish in my inventory each time. I am up to number 6, and confirm that the fish listed from 1 through 5 are in the correct order. --Hesione (talk) 09:00, 23 March 2022 (UTC)

  • The reordering of the fish is now incorrect for me. Is this random for each player? As stated in my comment, immediately above, the fish order for 1 through 5 was correct for me, up to that date/time. It is now incorrect. --Hesione (talk) 10:58, 26 March 2022 (UTC)

      • I just handed in a Dunkleosteus as fish number 6. I think it ignores order, and simply wants one of each fish. That was the only fish in my bags. I am 6 of 11 now. --Hesione (talk) 08:42, 27 March 2022 (UTC)

  • Can confirm this list via API endpoint checking individual turn-ins, with Unholy mackerel as bit 1, and Slaughterfish as bit 2. Goliath Grouper (should be bit 3) is erroneously counting for Dandan (bit 5). Should be fixed in 2022-03-29 patch. 🤞 Fam (talk)

That's not an API bug, that's a bug with the turtle's dialogue tree. The fish that do progress the collection should be in the same place both before and after the fix. --BenLubar (talk) 13:28, 23 March 2022 (UTC)

I gave the turtle a Slaughterfish, entered my API key and... nothing happened? The key works because it greys entire achievements out if I go to the DE list. But on this page... nothing greys out? So I don't know what number it is. The listing on the page looks the same before and after entering the key.

    • You might have just needed to wait 10 minutes or something? The API can take a little while to update (not realtime).

home instance pet[edit]

i now have a newborn siege turtle hatchling in my home instance. can anyone confirm whether it's from this achievement? i don't remember seeing it after i unlocked siege turtle mount. --Vm0d (talk) 02:44, 3 April 2022 (UTC)

  • Reverted as found mine. If you go into the Rata Sum home instance, it's sitting on the top of the fountain/waterfall between the bauble generator and the pinata. --Hesione (talk) 04:51, 16 April 2022 (UTC)
