Mistburned are creatures found in Janthir Syntri, corrupted by Greer's aura.[1] In the Mistburn's early stages, it manifests as yellow flecks of blight coming off the creature it infects. As it progresses, the creature becomes aggressive and frenzied, with a haze of purple mist coming off it and the yellow blight covering its entire form. There is no known cure to Mistburn.[2][3] Janthiri grubs have been found inhabiting the remains of dead Mistburned.

- Waiting Sorrow mentioned Mistburn being rampant in the area thanks to Greer, so I think we can assume that's the cause. Maybe there's a cure, but we'll find out if there's not.

- Graced by Fire: Hmm. Curious, these findings are. The animals remain themselves, but they are enraged...inconsolable.
- Graced by Fire: Something about the stranger's aura has twisted their sense of reality. Frenzied, indeed.
- Graced by Fire: I don't know if this is curable; death, a kinder fate. I suppose the more we learn of the strangers... Answers may come then.

- Kodan Stoutheart: The animals here... Plagued, they are.
- Kodan Stoutheart: There's almost always a way to calm a scared creature. Food, a soft voice, space... Not here.
