Request[edit]
As requested here, could a sysop remove the line with "news" in it please? -Chieftain Alex 00:02, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
Removal of "how to help"[edit]
It has been proposed that we might remove the "how to help" bit from the sidebar (issue A) + funnel every distressed user through "Help:Contents" (issue B: perhaps rename the link?). Opinions? -Chieftain Alex 19:25, 3 November 2015 (UTC)

Under Navigation, can we please add the Event Timers under navigation? Ease of access and the fact that we have a reliable ad-free timer would be beneficial to many. --Tarun 00:03, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
- Just beneath quick links? Sounds alright to me.-Chieftain Alex 10:34, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
- Front page seems sufficient to me.--Relyk ~ talk < 14:01, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
- I love the events page, but I've always viewed the left-hand navigation section as wiki-centric; The events page is focused on the in-game aspects. Per Relyk, the front page is perfect for it. G R E E N E R 17:08, 23 February 2016 (UTC)

Suggestion: Link directly to the community portal talk page[edit]
Currently the community portal link dumps you on the article (Guild Wars 2 Wiki:Community portal) as opposed to the talk page, i.e. where nothing happens apart from Relyk's sparsely updated tracker. The rest of that page contains links already found in the sidebar. Whenever I click the sidebar link to the commport (lol ishmael), I always think it looks rather dead, despite the talk page having loads of discussion on it.
What do you think about linking directly to the talk page (Guild Wars 2 Wiki talk:Community portal), or moving the discussion onto "Guild Wars 2 Wiki:Community portal" just like we have on the Admin Noticeboard etc? -Chieftain Alex 22:31, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
- I don't have a preference for either of the two suggestions, but do agree that one of these should be implemented. For consistency, maybe make it behave like the admin noticeboard? -Darqam 00:01, 14 January 2017 (UTC)
Redundancy of 'Other languages'[edit]
Thoughts on removing this bit? The information the article linked provides is a duplicate of the interwikis on the bottom of the nav. Aside from this, the Chinese "wiki" has hardly any relevance (if you can call that a wiki even). Besides, 'Other languages' does not even belong under 'Wiki support'. talk 10:10, 27 January 2019 (UTC)
- I quite like the idea of having links to the other wikis in the sidebar, and I can't honestly say it fits any better under the top section. -Chieftain Alex 14:46, 27 January 2019 (UTC)
